This German cohort study compared homeopathic and conventional medicines for acute upper respiratory tract infections (aURTIs) over 12 months. Analysing over 610,000 patients, findings showed recurrence rates and antibiotic use were at least comparable between groups, with some results favouring homeopathy.
Despite methodological limits, the study highlights homeopathy as a valuable therapeutic option in managing uncomplicated aURTIs.
