TADWA custom designs and modifies aids and equipment to meet the specific needs of people with a disability and older people.

Technology for Ageing & Disability WA (TADWA) is a not-for-profit organisation supporting older people and those with disability through therapy services, recreation and mobility, technology and computer support, home modifications & customised solutions Home Modifications

To improve accessibility and safe access around the home, TADWA is able to assist with modifications around the home including the supply and installation of ramps and rails and minor modifications to the bathroom. Freedom Wheels

Our Freedom Wheels program designs and modifies bikes and trikes to suit the individual needs of children and adults living with a disability helping them to maintain their independence and freedom. Assistive Technology

TADWA is able to provide computers with assistive technology to assist people with a vision or hearing impairment.

☎️✨ Giving back never goes out of style!

On Saturday evening, 17 October, five members of the TADWA team, including our CEO Gill Walker, volunteered in the Telethon7 Perth phone room, answering calls from generous donors supporting WA children and families.

It was a delightful and rewarding opportunity to serve our community, connect with donors and experience the incredible generosity that makes Telethon such a special Western Australian tradition.

We're proud to contribute in a small way to an event that creates such a big impact.

TADWA was proud to support Variety - the Children's Charity WA's Motor Mouth Camp by loaning a selection of modified trikes, giving children the opportunity to experience the freedom, excitement and achievement that comes from getting on wheels.

There was plenty of laughter, determination and joy as campers built confidence, explored new skills and enjoyed being active in a safe and supportive environment.

Seeing the children's faces light up as they rode independently was a wonderful reminder of how the right equipment can create opportunities for participation, connection and fun.

Thank you to Variety - the Children's Charity WA for creating such an incredible experience for the children and families involved.

We're proud to share the completion of a new lean-to extension at TADWA's Bunbury office, made possible through a grant from PEACH - Personnel Employed at Alcoa Charity Help .

While the project is a practical facility improvement, its impact extends far beyond the building itself.

Funding support from organisations like PEACH enables us to strengthen the spaces and infrastructure that underpin work we do, ensuring we can continue delivering quality services to individuals, families and communities across the South West.

We are grateful to PEACH and its contributors for investing in projects that create long-term benefits for the community and help us continue empowering people through innovative and practical solutions.
