🌼NOELENE🌼 is 🫦SICK🫦
Nothing says street slang like taking a bad thing and using it to mean good. Much like Wicked, Nasty, Filthy, or even just… Bad. When you mean… Good.
Sick began among young surfers and skaters in the 80s and 90s who would describe sweet tricks as “sick” because you had to be “sick in the head” to try them. It’s very Red Hot Chili Peppers, house party, X-Treme Games vibes.
Over time, sick just sort of came to be about anything and everything. Like:
Sick song
Sick docs
Sick teacher (nah, they’d never say that it’s to eager for the 90s grunge screen)
Sick long hair (for dudes)
Sick tongue piercing
Sick tatt
Bonus points if you say it’s TOTALLY sick. With a very drawn out ‘O’.

This year, as part of our Reality Bites theme, we’re embracing the unique parlance of the 90s youth culture in a celebration of all that is ironic and angsty.

Noelene is our casual Morningside receptionist and the ultimate POP! Psychology matriarch. She loves to love on all the gorgeous babies that we see at our Morningside Three Little Birds Perinatal location.
