"Squats are bad for your knees" is one of the myths we hear most often.

Here's the thing. Your knees bend under load constantly. Every time you get out of a chair, walk down stairs, or pick something up off the floor. The squat isn't the problem.

What matters far more is how the movement is loaded and progressed. Technique. Volume. How quickly you're building it up. Get those wrong and any exercise can give you grief. Get them right and most knees handle squatting well.

If your knees are painful at the moment, avoiding the movement entirely often isn't the answer. Adjusting how you do it usually is.

Feeling sore after a physio session is common and usually nothing to worry about.
When we work on tissues that haven't been loaded or moved properly, they respond. It typically settles within 24 to 48 hours. If it's lasting longer than that or feels different to what we discussed, let us know.
