🚨⚠️Announcement to all our clients who may have a hidden or secondary mobile device for safety reasons.

AusAlert, launching in October 2026, is the new national emergency warning system that will send alerts to mobile devices (most phones and some smart watches and tablets) during local and national disasters.

This coming Monday (27 July 2026 @ 12pm WA time) a test alert will issued nationwide - you cannot opt out of the test.

This could create a safety concern if you have a secondary device.

If you are concerned that receiving a Critical Alert may put your safety at risk, follow these steps:

-one hour before the test: turn off your mobile device or put it in aeroplane mode
-during and after the test: keep your device off or in aeroplane mode for 24 hours.

Important: you will still receive the AusAlert national test if your device is on ‘silent’ or ‘do not disturb’. You can still use wi-fi if your device is in aeroplane mode.

For further information about the AusAlert system, please visit https://www.ausalert.gov.au/

This week we are celebrating a significant milestone. For 50 years NAIDOC week has celebrated the strength, culture and resilience of First Nations peoples. We pay tribute to the generations who built the movement and to those in our community who keep the momentum going.

A child’s emotional world begins long before they speak. Through every cuddle, every response, and every moment of comfort, a child learns whether the world feels safe and whether the adults around them can be trusted.

Research shows that secure relationships grow from small, repeated moments of connection and repair 😊 not from getting everything right.

It’s the small interactions that matter most: making eye contact, responding to cries, sharing smiles, comforting distress, and following a child’s lead during play. These simple everyday moments support healthy emotional, social, and brain development.

It’s also important to acknowledge that caregiving can be deeply challenging, especially when parents are managing stress, exhaustion, or healing from their own difficult experiences.

If parenting feels heavy, you are not alone. Reaching out for support is a sign of strength, not failure. 💜
