I'm Katie, a dedicated Counsellor and Play Therapist with 17 years of experience specialising in children and youth. I work with children, youth and families promoting, independence, learning and growth.

We are so excited to offer two creative, supportive spaces for young people these school holidays:

🎨 Creative Comforts - Ages 8–12 years
📅 13th (only 6 spots left) or 14th July (only 4 spots left)
🕙 10:00am – 12:00pm

A calming, creativity-filled workshop designed to help children explore empathy and safes spaces!

📔 Pieces of Me Journalling Ages 12–15 years
📅 13th & 14th July (2-day workshop)
🕐 1:00pm – 4:00pm each day

A gentle, guided journalling experience supporting tweens/teens to explore identity, thoughts, emotions, and self-understanding in a safe and creative way.

🥪 Snacks, refreshments, and all resources are included!

🎉🐾 HERE WE GO AGAIN! Sandy Toes & Big Feelings is BACK these July School Holidays! 🐾🎉

After selling out within days in January, our much-loved Sandy Toes & Big Feelings Workshop is returning with limited places available once again!

This fun and engaging therapeutic workshop helps children build emotional awareness, confidence, social connections, and regulation skills through play, sand-based activities, and creative experiences in a safe and supportive environment.

✨ COMMUNITY EVENT TOMORROW IN MANDURAH ✨

Mindful Magic and Mindful Studio Co are proud to be participating in a special community event tomorrow at Waterview Eatery alongside Luke from the Warrior Foundation, raising awareness for mental health and bowel cancer. 💙

📍 Mandurah
🕘 9:00am – 4:00pm

There will be something for everyone throughout the day including:

🎤 Guest speakers
🛍 Vendor stalls
🌭 Eating competition
💙 Community connection & support

Events and activities will be scattered throughout the day, so come down, show your support, and help raise awareness for two incredibly important causes.

We would love to see the local community get behind this event and make it a meaningful day for everyone involved.

✨ Introducing Our Newest Team Member at Mindful Magic ✨

We are so excited to welcome Deb to the Mindful Magic team!

Deb brings a wealth of knowledge in psychotherapy and art therapy, alongside her current postgraduate training in Play Therapy (Masters pathway). She is deeply passionate about supporting children and young people through creative, evidence-informed, and relational approaches to healing and growth.

Deb has a warm, grounded presence and a strong commitment to creating a safe space where clients feel seen, supported, and understood.

✨ OUR books are OPEN again! ✨

It has been a little while since we have had some flexibility with our books! However, with some of our wonderful children graduating from services (we are so proud of them 💛) and therapists adding an additional day on site, we now have availability!

We are also super excited to share that on Fridays we have a new qualified Art Therapist on board, who is also currently completing her training in Play Therapy (we love dual modalities over here, don't we!) – such a beautiful addition to our space 🎨

🌿 Even better… we will have a limited number of concession rate appointments available. Allowing us to help even more families!

With love from the Mindful Magic family 🤍

Last year I had the privilege of bringing an incredible woman,Peta Maree, into Mindful Magic.

At a time when things felt chaotic behind the scenes, she helped hold my head above water. As a VA (Virtual Assistant) she was organised, proactive and calm — truly a unicorn in the business world. But more than that, she took the time to really understand me, becoming my right-hand support in both business and life and poking me everytime I needed it when ADHD brain took over…..

In October, Peta stepped away for a little, due to needing some family time... Just last week she returned, we were both so excited to start working together again, she jumped straight back in with just a few hours and she was already bringing her beautiful structure and steady energy with her….

Last night I received the devastating news that Peta had passed away…

My heart is heavy. It is a reminder to hold your loved ones close and live each day with love and light….

I will say this: Peta made a real impact both on Mindful Magic and me as a person, and she will never be forgotten..

My deepest condolences to her family and friends..
