What if allied health could be done differently?

Over the past few years, I've had the privilege of working alongside some incredible Occupational Therapists, Speech Pathologists and Psychologists.

One thing I've noticed is that many clinicians spend so much of their time completing assessments and writing reports that they don't always get to see their recommendations come to life.

At Assist Gippsland, we think there might be a better way.

We're exploring a model where therapy doesn't stop when a report is finished. Instead, therapists work alongside participants, support workers and families to see recommendations put into practice—building everyday skills, confidence and independence in real-life environments.

We're looking to recruit an Occupational Therapist who shares that vision.

This isn't about filling a vacancy.

It's about finding the right person to help us build something meaningful.

If you're an OT who enjoys practical therapy, values collaboration and wants to see the real difference your work makes, I would genuinely love to meet you.

☕ No pressure. No formal interview. No expectation that you're ready to change jobs tomorrow.

Just a coffee and a conversation to see if we're the right fit for each other.

🌿 What a fantastic weekend away on the Mornington Peninsula! 🌿

Our Group STA participants have returned home after another wonderful weekend filled with fun, friendship and new experiences.

While our original plan included a visit to Enchanted Adventure Park, the weather had other ideas! Instead, we made the most of it with a relaxed day exploring the local shops, enjoying a movie together at the cinema.

Sunday brought better conditions, allowing everyone to unwind at the beautiful Peninsula Hot Springs before finishing the weekend with a delicious dinner out together. It was the perfect way to relax, recharge and create lasting memories.

A huge thank you to our amazing staff for making the weekend such a success, and to our participants for bringing such positive energy and making every trip so enjoyable.

💙 Did you know? Group STAs are about so much more than just a weekend away. They’re an opportunity to build independence, develop social skills, make new friendships and experience places and activities that many participants may not otherwise have the chance to enjoy.
