Some dogs wiggle their tails. Molly? She shakes her entire b***y! 🍑😂

I've been trying to catch this girl's legendary twerking moves on camera for AGES, and she finally decided to give us a full performance during her grooming session!

The rhythm, the enthusiasm, the confidence… this girl was BORN to entertain! 🤣🐾

She's now seriously considering a career change, and apparently I've been promoted from groomer to talent manager! 😂

🚨 CRIME SCENE AT DOG TALES! 🚨🐾

Monday night, Jo spent FOUR AND A HALF HOURS giving my grooming room a beautiful, thorough clean. ✨🧼

Tuesday morning, it was absolutely spotless!

Enter Miss Nadawi… Jo's very own darling daughter. 🤣

Our resident WrestleMania champion was back for another round! A little bathtub wrestling, a bucking-bronco performance on the grooming table, and enough flying floof to redecorate the entire room! 🤠💨

And the best part? The person who has to clean up after this furry little tornado is HER OWN MUM! 😂😂

Meet Rapha! 🐾💙

At just 12 weeks old, this gorgeous little Border Collie chatterbox tagged along with his big brother Leo for his very first bath at Dog Tales! 🛁🐶

These two absolutely adore each other. They play together, sleep together and are the best of mates. Although judging by the knots around Leo's ears, Rapha also thinks his big brother makes a fabulous chew toy! 🤣

And while Rapha had PLENTY to say about his first grooming adventure, there's a really important reason for starting puppies young. ❤️

Early, positive grooming experiences help puppies become familiar with the bath, dryer, brushing, handling and all those strange sights and sounds they'll encounter throughout their lives.

It's not about getting a puppy perfectly groomed on their first visit. It's about building confidence, trust and happy associations, one little experience at a time. 🥰

And Rapha? Well, he's certainly made a very chatty start to his grooming journey! 😂🐾

🚨 ANOTHER APPRENTICESHIP APPLICATION! 🚨

Apparently word has got around that Dog Tales is hiring… because hot on the heels of Milo's application yesterday, Jasper has decided he wants a job too! 🤣🐾

With big sister Pepper off recovering from another ACL injury (get well soon, gorgeous girl! ❤️), Jasper finally had Aunty Sherri all to himself.

And boy, did he make the most of it! 😂

He's got absolutely no qualifications, but he's VERY enthusiastic about helping operate the dryer, supervising my technique and making sure the chin scratches are up to standard.

And that little face when he asks if he's got the job… 🥹❤️

What do we reckon? Has Jasper earned himself an apprenticeship, or does he need a little more training? 🤣

✂️🐾 HELP WANTED: Apprentice Dog Groomer! 😂

Apparently Milo has decided he's ready for a career change! 🤣

Caught red-pawed rummaging through my grooming trolley, looking for a pair of scissors so he could do a little doggy detailing on his brother Gus! ✂️🐶

Milo was VERY keen to give it a crack...

Gus, on the other hand?

NOT A BLOODY CHANCE! 🤣🤣

Can't say I blame him! 😂❤️

Meet Dakota. 🐾❤️

A distinguished older gentleman, an Alaskan Malamute with a VERY deep voice and some VERY strong opinions about his first visit to Dog Tales. 😂

Nail clipping? No worries.

Having his feet blow-dried? ABSOLUTELY BLOODY NOT! 🤣

There was paw snatching, table gripping, some rather vocal complaints and eventually a request to speak to management.

Unfortunately for Dakota… management was the very person holding the dryer. 🤣🤣

Welcome to Dog Tales, Dakota! We loved having your big fluffy, opinionated butt in the salon. ❤️🐾

Apparently Collies come in three convenient sizes. 😂
First up we have Lucy — the tiny, ridiculously cute model.
Then there’s Louie — a little more floof, a little more size, and apparently very aware of how handsome he is. 😂
Back to Lucy for a brief demonstration of how to remove your own undercoat by rubbing yourself all over the pen…
Then Louie returns looking like the majestic gentleman he believes himself to be.
And finally…
Kody. 😂

Dog Tales would like to sincerely apologise to the neighbours. 😂
Immy and Seb, however, would sincerely NOT like to apologise.
According to them, unspeakable crimes are committed here on a regular basis. Baths. Dryers. Brushing. Nail trims. The absolute horror. 🤦‍♀️😂
Please be assured that no Huskies were harmed during this grooming appointment. They’re just… Huskies.
And despite the accusations, screaming and general drama-llama behaviour, apparently they really do love Aunty Sherri. ❤️
Right up until I ask, Is it time to go? 😂

Miss Lulu would like it formally noted that she did NOT approve of today’s complimentary manicure. 💅😂
Usually our very prim and proper little Husky princess arrives in her bling, behaves like the queen she is and maintains a certain level of dignity.
Today… Lulu chose drama. So. Much. Drama. 🤦‍♀️😂
For the record, nail clipping is complimentary with every groom at Dog Tales — I don’t charge extra for it.
Judging by Lulu’s performance, however, she feels I should be paying her for the emotional trauma. 😂
And no, I don’t offer nail-only appointments. Unless you befriend me at the dog park… apparently then I’ll do your dog’s nails for free. 🤦‍♀️😂

Yesterday’s battle of the floof… Arya the Maremma vs Pino the Malamute. 😂🐾
Both of these guys were WELL overdue for a proper deshed, and going into the day I genuinely thought Arya was going to be very hard to beat.
She put in an extremely respectable effort…
Then Pino apparently said hold my b**r. 🤦‍♀️😂
The amount of compacted undercoat that came out of these two was absolutely ridiculous. And 24 hours later, we’re still finding Maremma and Malamute fur in places it has absolutely no bloody business being.
Pretty sure I’ll be finding Pino and Arya until Christmas. 😂
