Think of your gut and your brain as 2 seperate cities that rely on the same raw material: an amino acid called tryptophan found in foods like pumpkin seeds, turkey and eggs. When tryptophan enters your system, it splits onto 2 different factory conveyor belts.

The first belt creates serotonin, which regulates your mood and digestion but stays locked inside your gut. The second belt relies on good gut bacteria to transform tryptophan into IPA.

IPA acts as the ultimate delivery truck, traveling to your brain to neutralise harmful free radicals and protect your nervous system. Testing for IPA is a critical marker because a low score means your internal factory is lacking the specific gut bacteria needed to protect your brain.

Is your gut text messaging your brain?
Meet the hidden chemical keeping them connected.

Your gut and brain are constantly talking to each other through a massive network of blood vessels, immune signals, and nerves. Indole-3-propionic acid, or IPA, acts like a high-speed 5G network that keeps this connection clear and fast. The catch is that your body cannot make IPA on its own. You rely entirely on certain gut bacteria to manufacture it and you need to feed them the correct substrate (food). IPA is an essential health marker because it works alongside serotonin to protect your brain cells from daily stress and damage. Measuring your IPA levels tells you if your gut microbiome is successfully producing the chemical shields your brain needs to stay healthy.

Beyond the names: your gut test shouldn’t just be a roll-call of microorganisms.

The GBS platform decodes functional pathways- the biological activity driving your symptoms.

The Brain Radio (IPA): Measures whether your microbes are broadcasting the critical protective frequency your nervous system needs.

The Fire Extinguisher (SCFA): Checks if your good bacteria are producing fuel to seal your gut wall and shut down inflammation.

The Early Warning (LPS): Flags if toxic bacterial walls are threatening to leak into your blood and cause fatigue or systemic swelling.

The Energy Killers (Ammonia & Histamine): pinpoints why you might have brain fog, bloating, or food reactions by tracking bad protein waste and immune triggers.

The Disease Risk Indicators: Evaluates validated research models for your risk of IBD (Crohns/Colitis) and Colorectal Cancer (CRC) inflammatory markers, identifying trend signals years before symptoms appear.

The Biological Clock: Packages your total diversity and metabolic activity into a single microbiome Age Score, revealing your true internal age.

The Action Plan: Transforms raw data into custom compounding, meal plans, and a human care team so you can actively change your numbers.
