CHS has introduced a new, more memorable telephone number for its 24/7 Helpline.

For many years, callers have reached the Helpline on 02 648 4014. That number will remain fully active and continue to connect callers to our volunteer Helpline service until mid-2028. Alongside it, callers can now also reach the Helpline on 02 616 2626, a number designed to be easier to recognise, recall and share with others.

The CHS Helpline is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, staffed by trained volunteers who are ready to listen in complete confidence.

People contact the Helpline for many reasons: loneliness, depression, anxiety, relationship difficulties, stress, grief, or simply because they need someone to talk to. Whatever is on your mind, our volunteers are there to listen without judgement. The Helpline is also there for people experiencing a crisis, including those who may be having suicidal thoughts or feeling that they have nowhere else to turn.

Memorable telephone numbers have long been used by organisations that provide essential services. Numbers containing repetition or simple patterns are generally easier to remember than random sequences, making them more likely to be recalled when someone needs help or wants to pass on contact details.

CHS has chosen a gradual transition period for the new number. By keeping both numbers active in parallel until mid-2028, we have ample time to inform long-standing callers about the change, ensuring that nobody loses access to the service.

The new number has already begun appearing in CHS communications. Runners who raised €1,500 for the CHS Helpline during the 20 km de Bruxelles race on 31 May wore T-shirts displaying the new number on the back, and the CHS website (www.chsbelgium.org) has been updated to feature the new contact details, including with a simple click-to-call button for quick-dial to a Helpline volunteer.

As the Helpline continues to serve an international and increasingly mobile community, the change also makes it easier for people calling from outside Belgium. An increasing proportion of the thousands of calls received by the Helpline each year now come from outside Brussels. The service can therefore be reached internationally on: +32 2 616 2626.

CHS Helpline Contact Numbers
New Helpline Number: 02 616 2626
International: +32 2 616 2626
Existing Helpline Number (active until mid-2028): 02 648 4014
Both numbers currently connect callers to the same CHS 24/7 Helpline service.

Helping Neurodiverse Students Thrive at University
Free Parent Seminar — 27 June 2026 (Brussels)

Many neurodiverse students find university challenging — not because they lack ability, but because they haven’t yet found an environment that truly brings out their strengths.

As parents, we naturally focus on academics, yet so much of a student’s success depends on whether the setting helps them feel grounded, understood, and able to thrive.

The THRIVE Matrix was developed as a practical, research informed framework that gives families the clarity they need to make strong, intentional decisions about university fit. With this clarity, it'll help you as a parent know exactly what to pay attention to — the environments that energize your teen, protect their wellbeing, and allow their strengths to flourish.

It’s about moving from uncertainty to insight, from hoping things will work out to building the kind of support around your teen that helps them flourish.

On 27 June, I’ll be hosting a free seminar at Community Help Service (CHS) in Brussels where I’ll guide parents through:

🔹 The 4 hidden dropout triggers
🔹 Why “more structure” can sometimes backfire
🔹 The 5 environmental factors that shape student wellbeing
🔹 How to use the THRIVE Matrix to assess university fit
🔹 Practical steps you can start using immediately

📅 27 June 2026
🕙 10:00–11:00 AM
📍 Community Help Service (CHS), Brussels

I look forward to supporting you and your teen in finding a university environment where they can truly thrive.
