Why In-House Psychotherapy Matters in Surrogacy

A surrogacy journey is about much more than contracts, clinics, and embryo transfers.

It is an emotional journey for intended parents, surrogates, partners, and families, and we believe meaningful support should be built into the process.

That is why our program includes access to an in-house psychotherapist.

Participants can access:

🤍 Individual support for intended parents
🤍 Individual support for surrogates
🤍 Joint sessions for intended parents and their surrogate
🤍 Same-day appointments when available
🤍 Monthly intended-parent and surrogate support groups
🤍 Clinical assessments during the early stages of the journey

This support is free and confidential.

Intended parents do not receive an invoice when their surrogate accesses therapy, and they are not informed simply because she attended. Everyone deserves a private space to process emotions, ask for support, and speak honestly.

Psychotherapy can help with anxiety, grief, unsuccessful transfers, communication, boundaries, relationship challenges, birth preparation, and the post-birth transition.

Gabin, our son, is incredible, and there simply aren’t words to describe Shannon’s courage, determination, trust, and love. Yesterday, during the birth, an unbreakable bond was created between the three of us.

Thank you to your entire team for everything they do, and of course, thank you personally. Our video call on April 20, 2025, when you told us we had been matched with Shannon, will remain one of the most unforgettable moments of our lives for many years to come.

Our paths will cross again soon because, of course, we hope Gabin will grow up with a little sister or a little brother.

Every time this pic of Erika and I pops up in my memories I am reminded of how special she is to me. Erika is a badass Mom, who has shown up in our community in such a supportive way! Every time I see her at a retreat or event it as though no time has passed, and feels like yesterday we saw eachother. Girl, I love you, and am so grateful for photos like this, that remind me of how amazing this sisterhood, and you are.
