Equilibrium Care Collective

Equilibrium Care Collective Equilibrium Care Collective provides psychotherapy and dietitic services in Burlington, Ontario & Southern Ontario to individuals 14+.

We support disordered eating, anxiety, trauma, body image & life transitions with compassionate, evidence-based care. We recognize that taking time out of your busy schedule to take care of yourself is not always easy, but it doesn’t always have to be hard either. As a client, you should feel comfortable and confident in having a session and knowing that it is YOUR space to discover or rediscover

yourself, and that there is room for joy, laughter, inspiration, and insight in navigating some of life’s most painful moments. The importance of holding space for both the light and the dark sides of ourselves cannot be forgotten, as well as recognizing that they can co-exist in harmony. MEET THE FOUNDER

I’m Shauna Wallace, a holistic and trauma-informed therapist who incorporates numerous modalities in my work with clients. I am drawn to person-centred, cognitive behavioural, and dialectical behavioural approaches, and strive to help clients take full advantage of all the resources within themselves to develop and grow. From breathwork and meditation to increasing awareness of how your thoughts and feelings influence your behaviour, I recognize the uniqueness of each client and customize my approach accordingly. I provide a safe and non-judgemental space where clients can build their strengths on the foundation of a supportive therapeutic relationship. To me, the counselling process is a collaborative journey to growth and discovery. I am graduating with a Master’s of Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University at the end of the Fall 2021 semester, and I have my Bachelor of Arts & Sciences from the University of Guelph with specializations in Family & Child Studies and Psychology: Brain & Cognition. I am a Registered Psychotherapist licensed for Independent Practice. I am also a Certified Clinical Trauma Specialist for Individuals from Trauma Institute International. I have experience working with individuals from diverse demographics, including young adults within university programs, young women from childhood to adolescence, members of the fitness industry, and individuals with exceptionalities. On a personal note, I am a seasoned group fitness instructor and trauma-informed yoga instructor, particularly interested in the mind-body connection implicated in mental health. I have faced my own struggles with disordered eating and exercise and recognize how important it is to take back control of your life and find a healthy equilibrium. I look forward to creating a space together that best meets your needs!

It’s live! 👩‍💻

Our new website is finally here, and I’m really excited to share it.

This rebrand has been a labour of love. The intention was to create a space that feels more aligned with the work we do and the healing space we’re continuing to build together.

It also needed to feel easier to move through. You can now explore our expanding offerings, read about my mastery-level hypnotherapy work, and book sessions in a more straightforward way.

A lot of care went into shaping something that reflects where Equilibrium is right now, and where it’s heading.
