Welcome to The Burlington and Area Midwives OFFICIAL page! We are a group of midwives that provide primary care in the Burlington area with privileges at Joseph Brant Memorial Hospital. We support hospital birth and home birth for low risk pregnancies. As a client, you have access to midwives 24 hours a day 7 days a week for urgent concerns. Our office is open most weekdays for any non-ur

gent inquiries. Our main office is located at 4332 New Street, Burlington with a satellite location (because we are growing!) at 760 Brant Street. This page is a place for past clients, new clients and prospective clients to gather. We share news and information about our practice and midwifery in Ontario and the world. Our annual picnic is this month! 🧺 💜

Come join us Sep 27th from 12:30 to 3:30 pm at Hidden Valley Park (area 5). We are welcoming clients who had their baby with us April 1st 2025 to March 31st 2026.

Light snacks are provided. Please bring a reusable water bottle- water refill stations are available.

We are also accepting donations for The Women’s Centre of Halton. Feminine hygiene and personal hygiene products are accepted. Monetary donations are also accepted.

We are so excited to introduce our newest midwife! Please help us welcome Alyssa to the BAM family. Here is a little introduction from Alyssa:

“I’m so excited to be joining the incredible team at Burlington Area Midwives :)
My path to midwifery began during my Kinesiology degree, where I was involved in research focused on promoting healthy lifestyles in pregnancy. That experience sparked my passion for supporting people through pregnancy, birth, and postpartum, and for helping clients feel informed, empowered, and confident in their care.

After graduating from McMaster’s Midwifery Education Program and training in communities across Ontario and Newfoundland, I’m grateful to be bringing those experiences back to the community I grew up in and call home.

When I’m not on call, you can usually find me rock climbing, biking, crocheting, or exploring local coffee shops with family and friends.

I look forward to meeting everyone and being a strong source of support through this important chapter of life! “ - Alyssa 💜

We cannot thank you enough for not only all your support bringing our first child Melia into the world but now also our son Dekota! We have nothing but appreciation and love and constantly tell everyone what wonderful care we had with Annita and Rebecca and also two great students, Kali and Sarah! You will all be forever in our hearts and cannot wait to see you again at the picnic and if we do decide to try again for a 3rd we will be in touch the moment we get a positive test!”
