Benefits of Kids Physiotherapy

Kids are not just little adults; they have unique injuries and concerns that deserve to be treated in a pediatric friendly space. Pediatric physiotherapy can help with returning to sports and activities pain free and help kids get back to being kids as soon as possible. A pediatric physiotherapist can help with gross motor development in babies to ensure they are meeting their milestones and to ensure older children are able to engage in activities with their peers. Pediatric physiotherapists can help families navigate a variety of neurological conditions and help children reach their peak potential. Bring your child to see us when they are experiencing pain, injuries, disabilities, gross motor challenges, limping, or you’ve noticed a change in their physical abilities. We would also love to see you or your child for injury prevention, sports performance, or to check if developmental milestones are being met. We Focus on Your Kid’s Needs

At Peak Kids, our assessments and treatments are focused on the needs of the child. We will complete a detailed health history, followed by a hands-on assessment that includes an evaluation of pain and movement patterns, joint mobility, flexibility, muscular strength, and gross motor skills. During these appointments an emphasis is placed on making therapy fun in a welcoming environment! Types of Treatments
Fun and personalized exercise programs
Muscle therapy to release tight and painful muscles (soft tissue release/massage/ART®)
Joint mobilization to reduce pain and stiffness
Hot and cold therapy to relieve pain, reduce swelling and speed up healing
Acupuncture or Intramuscular Stimulation (IMS) to release muscle tension, decrease pain and improve healing
Prescription of supportive and protective devices, braces and equipment
Patient and family education and advice on health promotion and future injury prevention

Spring sports, playground adventures, growth spurts, busy school schedules… this season can be a LOT on growing bodies 🌱⚽️

Sometimes kids show signs of discomfort in ways that are easy to miss:
➡️ more fatigue
➡️ movement changes
➡️ headaches
➡️ soreness
➡️ avoiding activities
➡️ seeming “off.”

Supporting kids early can help them keep doing the things they love confidently and comfortably 🤸🏼‍♀️

At Peak Kids, we love helping kids move, play, and grow through every season 💥 Book an appointment using the LINK IN BIO!
