“What do I say?”
A friend has just told you they’re having a really hard time. You want to help—but suddenly, finding the right words feels impossible.
You’re not alone in that feeling.
Most of us aren’t trained mental health professionals (and if you are… hi! 👋), and it can be hard to know what to say or do.
The good news? You don’t need to have all the answers.
Listening with care, validating what they’re going through, and reminding them they’re not alone can be a meaningful place to start.
Save this post for when you need it, or share it with someone who might find these ideas helpful.
