Children are NOT little versions of adults. Their anatomy and physiology differ greatly, and the application of imaging protocols for adults is often unsuitable for a child. In the Calgary area, walk in X-Rays are available at: Brentwood, Chinook, Glenmore Landing, Marlborough, Pacific Place, Savanna, Sunridge, Symons Valley, and Westhills.

🎀 Screening vs. Diagnostic Mammogram – What’s the difference?

A screening mammogram is routine and used to check for breast changes in women with no symptoms. A diagnostic mammogram is targeted and used when there are symptoms like a lump, pain, or changes in breast tissue.

At Canada Diagnostic Centres, we perform both types of mammograms with compassionate care and advanced technology.

Did you also know that under Alberta’s Screening for Life program, patients in target age groups (45-74 of age) can currently self-refer for a screening mammogram which means you do not need a requestion from your doctor to book a screening mammogram.
