Today, on National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, we pause to honour the survivors, families, and communities whose lives were forever changed by residential schools. 🧡
At Whitehorn Village By Origin community, we see firsthand the strength, resilience, and wisdom of older generations. Today reminds us that listening to their stories—both the joys and the pain—is how we begin to understand, acknowledge, and heal.
We commit to walking this path alongside Indigenous peoples with respect, humility, and care, and to carrying their voices forward in our daily actions. Remembering the past is not enough; reconciliation requires ongoing attention, learning, and empathy.
Every story matters. Every life matters. Every child matters.
