Today, Royal Park said goodbye to our amazing General Manager, Kim. 💙

After seven wonderful years leading our community, Kim is off to an exciting new adventure as the General Manager of our sister home, Fountains of Mission!

While we are certainly going to miss having Kim here at Royal Park, we are incredibly grateful for everything she has brought to our community over the past seven years — the memories, the laughter, the support, and the countless ways she has helped make Royal Park the home it is today.

We are so excited to see Kim continue to learn, grow, and take on this incredible new opportunity. While it’s never easy to say goodbye, we know she is going to do amazing things in her new home!

Thank you for seven amazing years, Kim! We wish you all the best in this next chapter and can’t wait to see what lies ahead. We’ll miss you! 💙✨

Wow… where was our resident Liz?! 🚁✨

Floating away over Calgary with Chartwell Wish of a Lifetime - Rêver pour la vie

Liz has called Calgary home for many years, making countless memories and building a deep connection to the city and the community around her. So when she had the opportunity to see Calgary from above, it was more than just an incredible view — it was a chance to see the place she has called home for so many years from a whole new perspective. 🏙️💙

And what made this wish even more special? Sharing it with her daughters. Together, they took in the sights, enjoyed the experience, and created memories that they will carry with them for years to come.

This truly was a Wish of a Lifetime come true — a beautiful reminder that sometimes the most meaningful adventures are the ones we get to share with the people we love.

We were so happy to see Liz enjoy this special experience and feel even more connected to the city she has been part of for so many years. What an incredible way to make a few new memories together! ✨🚁💙

🌊 Bon Voyage, Royal Park! ⚓️

Royal Park was off on an adventure yesterday with a tour of Ghost Lake aboard the Handiboat Society of Alberta! We had a wonderful time cruising along the calm waters, taking in the beautiful scenery, and enjoying a hot dog lunch along the shoreline. 🌭☀️

The trip also brought back some wonderful memories as residents shared stories of boats they once owned, favourite places they sailed, and memorable fishing trips from years gone by. It was a beautiful day filled with sunshine, stories, and a little time out on the water! 💙

🍋 This week at Royal Park, we celebrated all things citrus with Lemonade Day as part of our Summer Fun & Flavours celebration!

Residents put their skills to the test with a lively game of Citrus Match-Up, sampled a variety of refreshing lemonades, and got creative by making beautiful fruit-stamped artwork using fresh citrus. We wrapped up the week with a fun DIY Mixology Social, where everyone enjoyed crafting their own refreshing beverages. Their creative concoctions were proudly named Summer Joy, Blueberry Surprise, and The Delicious!

🎣 Next Wednesday, we're diving into Fishy Stories & Tails, and we'd love your help! Share your funniest, biggest, or most unforgettable fishing story in the comments below. Whether it's the one that got away, your biggest catch, or a memorable day on the water, we'd love to share some of your stories with our residents during the program. We can't wait to read them!

🏕️🌲 This week, Royal Park residents embraced the great outdoors—without leaving home! 🌲🏕️

Our afternoon was filled with camping fun as we tackled a flashlight scavenger hunt, searching the "dark" for hidden woodland wildlife. We then gathered around our indoor campfire to sing some favourite campfire songs, share spooky folklore and classic campfire stories, and enjoy delicious, gooey s'mores. 🔦🔥🍫

To wrap up the adventure, we put our imaginations to the test with a lively game of Camping Would You Rather. One of the toughest questions of the day: Would you rather have a raccoon steal your dinner 🦝🍽️ or a squirrel steal your socks? 🐿️🧦

Chartwell Wish of a Lifetime - Rêver pour la vie inspires Canadian seniors to experience joy, connection, and purpose by making lifelong dreams come true, one wish at a time. For over a decade, we’ve proudly celebrated the lives and contributions of seniors across Canada, and this week we had the privilege of seeing one of those wishes come true right here at Royal Park!

For years, our resident, Clare, has connected with nature through his love of hiking. He has led countless hiking trips and spent years exploring the beautiful mountains just outside of Calgary. His wish was to take a helicopter flight over the breathtaking Canmore area to experience these familiar landscapes from a whole new perspective. Even more importantly, he wanted to share this unforgettable experience with his daughter, Colleen.

Chartwell Wish of a Lifetime helped make Clare's dream a reality. From a chauffeured ride to Canmore, to the spectacular helicopter tour, and a delicious lunch afterward, every detail came together to create a truly unforgettable day. 🚁🏔️

We are incredibly proud that our community was able to help bring this special experience to Clare and his family. It was a privilege to watch this wish come to life, and we know the memories, photos, and stories from this incredible adventure will be shared with fellow residents for years to come.

Thank you to everyone who helped make Clare's Wish of a Lifetime come true. Here's to many more dreams realized, one wish at a time. 💙✨

Royal Park residents braved the mosquitoes and made the most of a beautiful July day with a picnic at one of our favourite spots—North Glenmore Park! ☀️🌳

We enjoyed a delicious picnic lunch prepared by Chef Darcy before spending the afternoon playing bocce ball, laughing over games of Uno, and soaking up the sunshine. It's hard to beat great food, great company, and a beautiful summer day outdoors! 💚

What a fantastic morning at our annual Stampede Breakfast! 🤠🥞

The sun was shining as residents gathered to enjoy a delicious pancake breakfast prepared by Chef Darcy and the culinary team. We were also treated to wonderful live entertainment from the Saddle Pals, who had everyone singing along, clapping, and even getting up to line dance!

Thank you to everyone who joined us to celebrate the Calgary Stampede spirit. It was a morning filled with great food, lively music, laughter, and wonderful company. Yahoo! 🌞🎶

☀️🤠 What a fantastic afternoon at our annual Stampede Carnival!

Our residents spent the day soaking up the sunshine, sharing plenty of laughs, and enjoying an afternoon filled with races, games, and friendly competition. It was wonderful to see so many smiling faces out celebrating together and making the most of this beautiful summer day.
