A Weekend Worth Celebrating ❤️

We are so grateful to the Canora Ag Society and the Eastern Professional Chariot & Chuckwagon Association for bringing another incredible weekend of racing, community, family and friendship to Canora!

It was wonderful to see—and hear about—so many families and friends gathering at the Ag Grounds, enjoying the races, visiting, making memories and simply spending time together. These are the weekends that remind us how special our community truly is. ❤️

A heartfelt thank you to the Canora Ag Society for the dedication and hard work in making these events possible. We know how much time, effort, teamwork and behind-the-scenes work goes into a weekend like this, and we hope you know just how much it is appreciated. Your efforts help create opportunities for our community to come together, and that is something worth celebrating!

We would also like to extend a special thank you to Casey Peterson, whom we are proud to sponsor, for allowing us to be a small part of his passion for chariot and chuckwagon racing. It is a privilege to support local talent and be along for the ride!

To everyone who worked, raced, volunteered, supported, attended and helped make this weekend so memorable—thank you!

Today, we had the opportunity to attend Father Sowa’s farewell celebration in Sturgis.
We have a great appreciation for the many years we have had the privilege of working alongside Father, serving families together. We are grateful for the compassion, kindness, and faith he shared with families entrusted to our care. We wish him every blessing as he begins this new chapter in his ministry.
He will certainly be missed.

Time 💙

Time. There's never enough. For so many things.

People often say they don't have time to exercise, eat healthier, or see their friends.

People will say they don't have time to write the book, take the trip, or spend more time with their family.

And in today's world and how busy life is, that can feel real and true.

But when it comes to losing someone you love, time takes on a whole new meaning. The permanence and finality that comes on the heels of death steals time away like nothing else.

Suddenly, there is no more time. To love. Hug. Share. Do. Listen. Talk. Hold. Enjoy. Take the pictures. With them. And the reality of that hurts in the most unimaginable of ways.

When it comes to losing someone you love, there will never be enough time. Regardless of how old they were or how much time you had.

I hear it from grievers every day. The regret. The yearning. The wishing. I know how hard the road of grief is and I know how hopeless it can feel to want to turn back the clock and have just one more day. Yet you can't and that's hard to accept.

There is no going back or changing what has happened but I have learned to appreciate every moment I have. To take nothing for granted. To say I love you often. I have learned to hug more. Make the phone call. Send the card. Make the effort to see those I love as often as I can. Tomorrow isn't guaranteed for anyone and time will run out whether we want it to or not.

I'm holding space for you in my heart and please know I'm here to listen and support you in any way I can.
