Visitations for the late Edgar Young (November 14th, 1959 - January 14th, 2026) will take place on Tueday, August 25th, from 2:00-4:00 p.m., at Oceanside Funeral Home. A funeral service will take place on Wednesday, August 26th at 11:00 a.m. from St. James Anglican Church, with Rev. Kuda officating. Interment to follow at St. James Anglican Cemetery, Barachois Hill. A reception in memory of Edgar will be held after the interment at Oceanside Funeral Home, all are welcome.

A Note of Thanks from the Horwood Family.

Our hearts are broken, we have lost the glue to our family,someone who meant more to us than words could ever express.

We would like to thank everyone who has reached out, checked in, sent messages, brought food,cards, visited, prayed for us, and simply reminded us that we weren’t alone during this incredibly difficult time. Every kind word and every act of love has meant more to our family than you will ever know. Special thank you to Jennifer and her wonderful staff at Oceanside Funeral home for honoring the late Robert J Horwood.

Dad's journey was incredibly difficult, but he was surrounded by so much love. We are grateful for every person who cared for him, supported him, and helped us through these past few months.

We are going to miss his voice, his laugh, his stories, his presence, and all the little things that made him a son/brother/husband/dad and his favourite title of all Pop. The pain of losing him is immense, but so is the love we have for him.

Thank you all for loving our family, and for giving us the space and support to grieve.

He will forever be loved, forever be missed, and forever be a part of us
