Today we had the privilege of celebrating something bigger than any one organization. 💙💚

Apex Surgical is proud to have contributed **$5,000** toward an incredible **$60,000 group donation** supporting the **2026 Newfoundland and Labrador Summer Games** in Corner Brook.

This achievement is the result of many community-minded businesses and organizations coming together with one shared goal: investing in the young people of our province. A special thank you to Dr. Justin French, whose leadership and dedication helped coordinate this remarkable fundraising effort and bring our community together behind such an inspiring cause.

The NL Summer Games are about so much more than competition—they're about teamwork, confidence, friendships, and creating lifelong memories for athletes from across Newfoundland and Labrador. We are honoured to play a small part in helping make that possible.

It has been a busy first half of 2026 on the academic front for Dr. Xavier Campos-Möller.

Over the past several months, Dr. Campos-Möller has served as a guest speaker and instructor at conferences in Canada, the United States, Colombia and Mexico.

His presentations and surgical courses have covered a broad range of topics, including glaucoma, surgical innovation, iris suturing and complex anterior segment surgery.

At Apex Surgical, we are fortunate to work alongside a surgeon whose expertise is recognized internationally and whose commitment to education, innovation and advancing ophthalmic care extends far beyond our own operating rooms.

Last month, members of the Apex Surgical team attended the Canadian Ophthalmological Society (COS) Annual Conference in Montreal.

Dr. Justin French and Dr. Xavier Campos-Möller joined colleagues from across Canada to explore the latest advancements in ophthalmic surgery, emerging technologies, clinical research, and innovations in patient care.

Conferences like COS provide an opportunity to learn from peers, build new professional relationships, and discover new ideas that help us continue delivering the highest standard of surgical care to the communities we serve.

We're proud to invest in continuing education and to bring new knowledge and ideas back to our patients here at home.
