Our Tootsie ….. this is such a nice BIG (16+ hands) girl !!! Tootsie is currently 3 years old and I would love to see this girl go into someone’s breeding program and produce some big powerful, colorful babies. She is LP/LP, homozygous black and n/Patn1, and disease panel N/N all the way around. She is great to handle on the ground, has grown up in the herd and the only reason we are even considering selling her is that we are cutting way back. Did you know that with appaloosa their coat can still be a work in progress! 🐴

A Appaloosa weanling that looks fairly plain (this little guy doesn’t have that problem lol) today can become dramatically more colorful as it grows. Some are born solid or with minimal markings and develop roaning, white hairs, or more obvious spotting over the next few years.

One of the genes responsible for classic Appaloosa characteristics is the Leopard Complex (LP) gene. Besides coat patterns, it’s associated with traits like mottled skin, striped hooves, and visible white sclera around the eye.

Even though this girl didn’t get but the one dark spot on her face she is sure one of our all time favorites. 3 year old Miss Fidget sure was an absolute wonderful girl for Tabitha Smith. This was her 1st and 2nd ride outside with less then 20 rides total. She is available to the right home. For a longer video
