From nurse to cook to friend 🩺🍲♥️

Our neighbourhood team lead, Judy, joined our monthly cooking club to share her delicious recipe. She and the residents cooked chow mein having loads of fun! Judy not only lead the residents in making a delicious meal, but is leading the way in making meaningful connections with our residents.

A heartwarming lunch for all ♥️🧑🏼‍🍳

A resident at Riverside Glen had only one request - to go to the restaurant he cooked at for about 15 years. Cafe Greek Garden is a well-known and delicious restaurant in Guelph. When Sam moved into Riverside Glen, we knew we had to bring him back to enjoy the nostalgia with his new friends. As soon as we walked in, the servers and cooks embraced Sam and welcomed him back with open arms.

Bringing tears to all of our eyes, we thank Cafe Greek Garden for their warm hospitality and helping our team make a small dream come true! ✨🥙

✨ Red Carpet Royale: Celebrating Our Incredible Team! ✨

It was a night fit for royalty as we rolled out the red carpet to celebrate the heart of Riverside Glen — our amazing team members! ❤️

This month we held our annual Team Appreciation Event; which was filled with laughter, recognition and plenty of well-deserved applause as we honoured team members celebrating incredible 5, 10, 15, 20 and 25 years of service. Your dedication, compassion and commitment make such a difference every day, and we are so grateful for everything you do! 👏🎉

Our Summer Safari Party was a wild success at Riverside Glen! 🦁🌿🐘

Residents enjoyed a fantastic afternoon filled with delicious safari-themed snacks, great music, and plenty of dancing. From tropical treats to lively tunes that kept everyone on their feet, the smiles and laughter made it a celebration to remember.

A big thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make the day so special. We can’t wait for our next adventure together!

Our outdoor fitness program, Sun and Stretch, is a wonderful way to stay active while enjoying the beauty of the season. Our Program of Active Living team works hard to provide different opportunities for all our residents. From gentle stretches to strength and balance exercises, every program is designed to help our residents build confidence, improve mobility, and have fun together.

It’s not just about exercise—it’s about connecting with friends, enjoying nature, and celebrating what our bodies can do, one step at a time.

Yesterday, our residents visited the Guelph Public Library alongside residents from The Village of Arbour Trails to participate in the campaign.

The Green Bench may be simple but its purpose is powerful: creating opportunities for people to stop, connect and listen. Our residents shared meaningful conversations, their stories, experiences and perspectives.

Thank you to the Guelph Public Library for helping make these connections possible.💚
