This morning we raised the Pride flag at our Village.

Flying alongside the Canadian flag and the Canadian Indigenous flag, it stands as a visible reminder of our commitment to creating a community where everyone belongs, feels valued, and is treated with dignity and respect.

Being a safe space means fostering an environment where residents, families, team members and visitors can be their authentic selves, knowing they will be welcomed, heard, and supported. Raising this flag is a symbol that we embrace diversity, celebrate individuality and ensure everyone feels welcome within our village.

As these three flags fly together, they represent our shared values of inclusion, respect, reconciliation, and belonging.

What a wild and wonderful day! 🦁🐒🦒

Last week, we enjoyed an exciting outing to the Toronto Zoo exploring exhibits, learning about animals from around the world and ending with a sweet treat.

From watching the animals to taking in the beautiful surroundings, the day was filled with fun, laughter, and memorable moments. 🐘🌿 We look forward to visiting again!

Creativity is blooming! 🌼🎨

Our residents recently painted and decorated beautiful terracotta pots in preparation for planting with our horticulture therapist. From vibrant colours to unique designs, each pot reflects the creativity and personality of its artist. They also enjoyed planting in their pots, bringing their creations to life with greenery.

This hands-on activity not only encouraged self-expression but also built excitement for the gardening season ahead.🌱🌸

What an incredible celebration of culture, community, and connection at last week’s Multicultural Festival in the Village! 🌍✨

We were proud to showcase 12 different regions from around the world, bringing together traditions, music, food, dance, and stories that make our community so vibrant and diverse. From the Philippines 🇵🇭 and India 🇮🇳 to Eritrea 🇪🇷 and Nigeria 🇳🇬 and many more, every booth and performance reminded us of the beauty in our differences and the strength in coming together.

A huge thank you to all of our team members who made this event such a success. Your energy and support created an unforgettable day filled with joy, learning, and celebration.

Last week, we had the pleasure of celebrating our incredible caregivers and all the compassion, dedication, and heart they bring every single day. 💙

Car washes, travelling breakfast, a delicious BBQ, relaxing spa day, and our annual carnival — it was a week full of appreciation, laughter, and fun!

Although the week was a little chilly this year, the amazing turnout and smiles all around made it one to remember. Thank you to our caregivers for everything you do to support and care for our community each day. We are so grateful for you! 🎡✨

Celebrating Mother’s Day at the Village 🌸💐

Our community was filled with love, laughter, and meaningful visits with family as we honored the incredible mothers and mother figures in our village. A special touch to the day was our beautifully prepared tea boxes, thoughtfully made by our amazing Food Service Team ☕🫖💝

Thank you to everyone who helped make the day so memorable for our residents and families. Moments like these remind us how important connection, care, and community truly are. ❤️
