🏔️ On May 29th, 1953, Sir Edmund Hillary and Tenzing Norgay became the first climbers confirmed to reach the summit of Mount Everest, a moment that changed history forever. Their achievement was not only a triumph of endurance and courage, but also of vision: seeing beyond what once seemed impossible. ⛰️

More than 70 years later, medicine continues to push boundaries in its own way. At LASIK Cataract Centre, we are inspired by the same pursuit of possibility, helping patients see the world more clearly every day. 👁️✨

Whether it’s climbing reaching new heights (or climbing Mount Everest), you deserve to experience life without glasses and contacts.

👁️ Ever notice tiny specks, cobwebs, or squiggly lines drifting across your vision? These are called floaters.

Floaters are usually caused by natural age-related changes in the vitreous, the gel-like substance inside the eye. Over time, the vitreous becomes more liquified and tiny collagen fibers can clump together, casting shadows onto the retina that you see as “floaters.”

In most cases, floaters are harmless and very common. However, a sudden increase in floaters can sometimes signal a retinal tear or retinal detachment.

🚨 Seek urgent eye care if you notice:
• Sudden shower of floaters
• Flashes of light
• A dark curtain/shadow in your vision
• Sudden loss of vision

So how does LASIK actually work? 👇
💧 Numbing drops are applied
🔬 A thin flap is created on the cornea
