Had a few of our athletes try the new react toy challenge trying to catch two at once, working on multi object tracking. Can also do this with a 2 player mode!

A little throwback to some in-season work on tracking. Some takeaways:
- Eyes first and watch the ball all the way in
- just because you catch with your hand doesn’t mean you will forget to catch with your glove. It’s like saying if you go golfing you will forget how to take a slap shot
- doing an unfamiliar task actually promotes neuro plasticity and learning 🧠 👊

As athletes get ready to really take the next level this summer it’s important to think about how to take care of your eyes and make you feel confident and ready to go during the season. Too much screen time can cause visual fatigue and dry eyes, so looking for ways to really train your visual system while avoiding screen fatigue is critical. Goalies track everything — the puck, the play, the movement. Visual focus isn’t just for game time; it matters in training too. Staying locked in during stretches builds body awareness, improves control, and helps connect your eyes with your movement. Focus with intention. 👀🥅

One of the most basic things an athlete can do is make sure they get there eyes checked on a regular basis. As a goalie if you have an uncorrected prescription it can make it extremely difficult to track a puck or read a release no matter how good you are! A good pair of daily disposable can make a massive difference for you or your child!

Did you know with screen 📺 we blink 3 x less than normal!? This is causing more dry eyes even in our younger and elite athletes (NHL, MLB) this can affect reaction speed, tracking and cause eye strain. If this is affecting you reach out for more!

Are you curious to know where you or your goalies stand compared to average. We have a data from goalies of all ages up to the NHL where we can see where the visual strengths lie and what we need to work on!

These are just some of the training glasses we use when training your brain 🧠 to control your eyes more efficiently and to get faster. Some of these should only be used by an eye care 👁️ professional as if they are used incorrectly could cause more issues!

In the playoffs we have seen some goalies who perform really well in big moments! How do we become visual “clutch” and is it trainable!?
