As the summer holidays come to an end, we’re celebrating with our wonderful Intergenerational Program at Ivan Franko Long-Term Care Home! ☀️💛

Our residents and young participants shared so many special moments together — enjoying sorting activities, creating beautiful fresh flower arrangements, making delicious mini burgers, playing bingo, and much more!

It was a day filled with creativity, laughter, teamwork, and meaningful connections between generations. 💐🍔

We are so grateful for these joyful opportunities to learn from one another, have fun together, and create beautiful memories across generations. ❤️

We proudly commemorated the 170th anniversary of Ivan Franko’s birth, honoring the life and legacy of one of Ukraine’s most renowned writers, poets, and national figures. His powerful words and ideas continue to inspire generations and reflect the values of resilience, knowledge, dignity, and unity. It was a meaningful celebration of his lasting contribution to Ukrainian literature, culture, and identity, shared with our residents, families, and staff at both Ivan Franko Homes. 💙💛

Our residents of Ivan Franko Long-Term Care Home enjoyed a wonderful outing to High Park, Toronto, exploring the zoo, enjoying the beautiful scenic surroundings, and taking in the peaceful atmosphere of the park. A lovely afternoon filled with fresh air, smiles, and happy memories!

This past Sunday, August 23, Ivan Franko Homes was honoured to be part of PRES (Peel Region Educational Services)’s inaugural Volunteer Fair.
The event brought together an incredible group of nonprofit organizations, each doing meaningful work and making a lasting impact in our community. It was truly inspiring to connect with these dedicated organizations, learn more about their missions, and celebrate the many ways they support and uplift each other.
We were especially touched by the number of enthusiastic young volunteers who visited our booth and expressed interest in giving their time to our organization to help continue to improve the lives of our residents. Their compassion, energy, and genuine desire to build meaningful connections reminded us of the powerful difference volunteers can make in the lives of older adults.
Thank you to PRES for creating such a wonderful opportunity to connect, collaborate, and inspire the next generation of volunteers. Ivan Franko Homes was proud to be among so many remarkable organizations and looks forward to welcoming those who wish to share their time and kindness with our seniors.

🇺🇦 Celebrating Ukrainian Independence Day Across Generations 💙💛

Today was filled with connection, culture, creativity, and so many meaningful moments at Ivan Franko LTC Home.

Children and residents came together for a special intergenerational celebration featuring Ukrainian crafts, vyshyvanka photos, colouring, cabbage roll making, music therapy, bracelet making and games.

It was beautiful to see different generations sharing traditions, stories, laughter, and Ukrainian spirit together. 💙💛
