🌟 Volunteer call in Nelson 🌟

The West Kootenay Nav-CARE Program is looking for a compassionate volunteer to support an adult in Nelson who has recently experienced significant vision loss.

We are hoping to connect with someone who may have experience supporting individuals who are blind or visually impaired.

The volunteer would provide support with:
• Learning how to safely navigate the home and kitchen
• Meal planning and basic food preparation
• Grocery shopping and organization
• Building confidence and independence with daily living activities
• Social connection and encouragement during a major life transition

This is an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in someone's life as they adapt to a new reality and regain confidence in their day-to-day routines.

If you think you might be a good fit, or if you know someone who may have relevant experience and an interest in volunteering, please contact the West Kootenay Nav-CARE Program.
