Meet Yael Elitzur ➡️ our expert speaker for the Community Talk on August 24th.

Yael Elitzur is the founder of Yael Samuel Kid Quest Consulting and a parent consultant specializing in child development and behaviour. She supports families before and after assessments by creating personalized plans, connecting them with resources, and empowering parents to advocate for their children.

Yael also delivers parent workshops, educational seminars, and professional development for educators, sharing practical, evidence-informed strategies to support children with behavioural and developmental needs.

💬This interactive workshop will provide practical strategies to help families prepare emotionally and establish routines for a successful start to the school year.

Parents will also learn key areas to review in their child's Individual Education Plan (IEP), what to look for before the school year begins, and how to feel more confident advocating and collaborating during school meetings. The session is designed to be informative, collaborative, and action-oriented, allowing parents to leave with practical tools they can implement immediately.

The best programs for kids with ADHD aren’t the ones with the strictest rules or the most packed schedule.

They’re the ones designed around how these kids actually learn: through movement, hands-on activities, connection, and room to be themselves.

Bring these to any intro call or trial session:
▫️What’s your group size and adult-to-child ratio?
▫️What training or background do your facilitators have in neurodivergence?
▫️How do you support a child who’s having a hard moment?
▫️What does a typical session look like from start to finish?
▫️Do you require a diagnosis to join?
▫️Can we try a session before committing?
▫️Can I use OAP funding for a program?

The answers will tell you a lot — not just the facts, but whether this is a place that understands your child.

At My Outlet Hub | ADHD, Autism & Neuroinclusive our Signature Kids Program is built for children who learn and think differently — with small groups (max 10), a registered social worker is present in every class, and physical activity, self-expression, skill-building and relaxation techniques designed around how these kids thrive 🔌

The best programs for kids with ADHD aren’t the ones with the strictest rules or the most packed schedule.

They’re the ones designed around how these kids actually learn: through movement, hands-on activities, connection, and room to be themselves.

➡️A few things make a genuine difference:

▫️Small group sizes.
Large groups can overwhelm a child with ADHD and mean less individual attention. Smaller groups let facilitators actually see and support each child. Ask what the group size and ratio look like.

▫️Staff who understand neurodivergence.
This is the big one. A program can have wonderful activities, but if the adults running it don’t understand ADHD, your child can end up feeling singled out. Ask who leads the sessions and what their background is. Programs with mental health professionals on-site are a strong sign.

▫️Movement and variety built in.
Kids with ADHD often do their best learning when they’re active and engaged. A program that mixes physical activity, creative work, and calm-down time tends to fit far better than one that expects kids to sit for long stretches.

▫️A focus on strengths, not deficits.
Notice the language a program uses. Do they talk about what’s “wrong” with a child, or about helping every kid grow from where they are? A neuroinclusive program meets children as they are and removes the barriers that were never necessary in the first place.

Where does your child go when big feelings hit? 💛

A chill zone is a safe space to calm down, take a break, and reset when everything feels like too much. For neurodivergent kids especially, it's a concrete way to self-regulate — without feeling embarrassed or in trouble.

You can build one at home: cozy seating, sensory tools, soft lighting, a favourite book. Save this for the next time your child needs a reset.

What would you add to your child's chill zone?👇

Growth mindset vs. fixed mindset — do you know the difference? 🧠

Our social worker Ilana breaks it down — and it's part of our Kids Signature Program curriculum at My Outlet Hub | ADHD, Autism & Neuroinclusive

Fixed mindset says "I can't do this."
Growth mindset says "I can't do this yet."

That one word changes everything💡

For kids with ADHD, autism, and learning differences, how they think about their abilities matters just as much as the skills we teach.

👇 Which mindset do you see most in your child?

Five years ago, Founder if My Outlet Hub | ADHD, Autism & Neuroinclusive Audrie was reading a book on this dock in Muskoka and made a decision that changed everything. 🌊

She didn't know exactly what My Outlet would become — but she knew neurodivergent kids deserved a space that truly saw them. A place to build skills, confidence, find community, and show up exactly as they are.

Today, watching our kids grow, our families connect, and our neuroinclusive community expand across the GTA — we are overwhelmed with gratitude.

This is what happens when you build with love and purpose. And we're just getting started 🤍

Thank you for being part of our journey🔌
