Say hello to Dr. Dana Liebe 🐾

One of our small animal veterinarians, Dr. Liebe is currently seeing patients at our Oak Bluff location and will be joining the team at Central Vet West in Headingley later this summer.

Q: What’s something you wish every pet owner knew?
A: The importance of keeping our pets in good body condition! We see so many overweight pets, and especially when they are overweight as puppies and young adults, it makes a big difference for their health and comfort long term.

Q: Do you have a “heart-melt” patient type?
A: Puppies!

Q: What’s your personal pet like at home, angel or chaos gremlin?
A: My dog, Lucy, is an angel. My cat, Dot… is both, depends on the hour. 😆

Q: What’s your go-to comfort show or podcast right now?
A: My favourite podcast is Normal Gossip! It’s described as low-risk, high-stakes drama. Very entertaining.

Q: What’s a hobby you have outside of vet med?
A: Crafting! I love cross stitch and crochet.

Whether she’s helping pet owners keep their pets healthy or spending time with Lucy and Dot at home, Dr. Liebe brings kindness, compassion, and dedication to every patient she sees.

We’re so lucky to have Dr. Liebe as part of the Central Vet team and can’t wait for clients in Headingley and the surrounding area to get to know her when she joins Central Vet West later this summer. 💙

This week, Dr. Marks, alongside Carly, RVT, performed a dental and wolf teeth extraction on Rhett. Routine dental care plays an important role in your horse’s comfort, health, and performance, helping identify concerns before they become bigger problems.
