📣 Welcome to the Team, Sara Miller! 📣

We are excited to welcome Sara Miller to the JD Physiotherapy, PC team!

To better serve our community, Sara will be offering evening appointment availability, providing more flexibility for athletes, workers, students, and busy families.

Sara is a graduate of the Physiotherapy program at McMaster University and brings a wealth of experience treating athletes of all ages and abilities. In a fun full-circle moment, Sara actually served as Colton’s very first clinical instructor during his physiotherapy training!

After spending the past four years in Whistler, British Columbia, Sara is returning to the East Coast with extensive experience working with recreational athletes, high-performance competitors, and even Olympians. Her clinical interests include concussion management, acute and chronic sports injuries, ACL rehabilitation, and running-related injuries, including gait assessment and footwear recommendations.

A passionate hockey enthusiast, Sara has worked extensively with Hockey New Brunswick and is passionate about helping athletes maximize performance, recover from injury, and achieve their goals. Whether you’re returning to sport, training for your next event, or simply looking to stay active and healthy, Sara is committed to helping you succeed.

We had the privilege of attending the Oromocto High School Graduation Honours & Awards Ceremony and presenting our 3rd Annual JD Physiotherapy PC Scholarship.

We are proud to announce Brooklynn Hanson as this year's recipient!

Brooklynn exemplifies the qualities we value most: academic excellence, leadership, community involvement, and a genuine passion for kinesiology and rehabilitation. A graduating student from Oromocto High School, Brooklynn will be attending UNB this fall to pursue a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology with aspirations of a career in sports medicine.

Whether competing on the softball field, leading on the hockey ice, or giving back to her community, Brooklynn consistently demonstrates the character, determination, and leadership this scholarship was created to recognize.

May is National Physiotherapy Month.

We are so privileged to work as physiotherapists. It offers us the opportunity to work closely with our clients and help them reach their physical rehabilitation goals.

May is National Physiotherapy Month, and we’re proud to recognize Tracy, a physiotherapist who has dedicated nearly 25 years to Horizon Health Network.

Inspired by watching her father live with the effects of polio, Tracy was drawn to a profession helping people build strength, confidence, and independence.

She splits her time between Horizon’s Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital in Fredericton and the Harvey Health Centre, supporting a rural community with a wide range of needs.

“No two days are the same, you’re continually adapting and learning,” Tracy said.

She also values the close-knit, team-based approach to care in Harvey.

“It’s nice to be able just to open my door and collaborate,” she added.

Mai est le Mois national de la physiothérapie et nous sommes fiers de reconnaître le travail de Tracy, une physiothérapeute qui travaille au Réseau de santé Horizon depuis près de 25 ans.

C’est de voir son père vivre avec les effets de la polio qui a guidé Tracy vers une carrière où elle aide les gens à retrouver leur force, leur confiance et leur autonomie.

Elle partage son temps entre l’Hôpital régional Dr Everett Chalmers à Fredericton et le Centre de santé de Harvey, où elle contribue à soutenir une collectivité rurale ayant différents besoins.
