So proud of our Peer Supporters and Community Engagement Coordinator for their contribution at the Prince George Multicultural Children's Festival @ Lheidli T'enneh Memorial Park this past Saturday June 6th. They used their creativity to harness the power of volunteerism, self expression, and mentorship for the youth and families who attended. Thanks for having us!

Do you know a youth or are you a youth between the ages of 12 and 24 who wants to learn more about how powerful volunteering can be for connection, well-being and belonging? Do you want to have a deeper impact on your community? Interested in joining us as a volunteer at a future event? Send our Community Engagement Coordinator Mary Paz Michel an email at [email protected]

Become a Health Mentor!

* The UBC Health Mentors Program is a 9-month volunteer opportunity where mentors and/or caregivers meet 7 times with a small team of UBC students.
* Health Mentors are experts in their health and want to share their experiences living with a chronic condition.
* Students are new healthcare professionals who learn about patient-centered care and how to better support people with chronic conditions.
* By being a Health Mentor you are joining a pioneering program contributing to the education of health professionals.
* Health Mentors should be comfortable talking about their health condition.
* The program runs from September to May.
