We were honoured to attend the Four Seasons Ball in support of the Hospitals of Regina Foundation. As Location Manager of Victoria Avenue Funeral Home, it was inspiring to witness the generosity of our community and the commitment to strengthening health care for families across southern Saskatchewan.

Having experienced firsthand the importance of exceptional pediatric health care, I understand how vital it is that our hospitals have access to the resources, equipment, and programs needed to provide the highest level of care. Events like the Four Seasons Ball play an important role in raising much-needed funds to support specialized services and enhance patient care throughout our region.

Thank you to the Hospitals of Regina Foundation, the sponsors, volunteers, donors, and everyone who helped make this remarkable evening possible. Your support is making a meaningful difference in the lives of countless patients and families.

Honouring Truth and Reconciliation

On this National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, we pause to remember, reflect, and honour the experiences of Indigenous children, families, and communities who have been impacted by residential schools.

As a funeral home, we are entrusted with helping families navigate moments of loss with dignity, care, and respect. Today, we extend that same commitment to recognizing the truths of the past, listening to the voices of survivors, and standing with Indigenous peoples in the journey toward healing and reconciliation.

We acknowledge that reconciliation is not a single day, but an ongoing responsibility. May we each take this time to learn, reflect, and walk together with compassion and respect for the generations past, present, and those yet to come.

Greg Baca, manager of Lee Funeral Home and Crematorium and Victoria Avenue Funeral Home, and a proud member of Rotary Club Eastview of Regina, was honoured to attend the event, providing a meal to the riders as they cycled across Canada, with a special recognition of their stop in Regina. Although the riders were unable to attend the meal due to inclement weather, it was pleasing to send the meal to them and hear fascinating stories from the coordinator about the Terry Fox Foundation’s pivotal role in research. We offer our sincerest wishes to the riders for a triumphant journey and hope they not only achieve but exceed their fundraising targets for cancer research.

Terry Fox’s legacy continues to inspire generations across Canada and around the world. His Marathon of Hope ignited a nationwide movement, showing the power of determination and compassion. Through his vision, millions have contributed to life-saving cancer research, proving that one person truly can make a lasting difference.

Since 1925, Lions International has been a global leader in fighting vision impairment and hearing loss. Through their incredible recycling programs, used eyeglasses and hearing aids are given new life—helping individuals in need see and hear the world more clearly.

We’re proud to support this important cause, and you can help too!
✅ Drop off donations Monday to Friday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at any of these locations:

📍 Lee Funeral Home, Regina
📍 Fletcher Funeral Chapel, Weyburn

Please ensure that donations do not include the cases. All donated eyeglasses and hearing aids will be cleaned, repaired, and distributed to those who need them most through the Lions Club.
