Hello lovely! My name is Leah Lòpez and I am the intuitive and creative behind Illuminate, a local Saskatchewan business dedicated to offering empowering self-love practices including Ayurvedic Alchemy, Energy Empowerment, Restorative Reiki and Light Frequency, Symbolic Sound, Crystal Consciousness and Bountiful Breathwork as well as handcrafted jewelry and adornments. Ayurveda is an ancient tradition originating in India. Translated, it means "the science of life" and emphasizes the connections between the body, mind, and spirit. Ayurveda emphasizes good health and prevention and treatment of illness through simple and intuitive lifestyle practices as well as the use of herbal remedies. Ayurvedic medicine is holistic, which means viewing the body and mind as a whole. Ayurveda not only treats a person's physical complaints, but it also changes lifestyle practices to help maintain or improve health. Having worked with a team of Ayurvedic Doctors and Practitioners in India and successfully removing my ulcerative colitis, I committed to a two year Ayurvedic Practitioner program and have been integrating this wonderful modality into my offerings. I am a Tibetan Usui Reiki Master and Level 3 Karuna Ki student, who enjoys connecting and empowering others on their own journeys. The Reiki practice has been a key support in my own journey towards connection to and love of self and I enjoy helping clients experience this wonderfully balancing energy. I offer Light Energy, an extremely peaceful and harmonious energy modality which supports grounding and connection with self. Light symbol energy offers gentle wisdom to integrate and support you on your Earth journey. By accessing and utilizing this grounding energy, we deepen our connection with our soul’s light which may support you in increasing your self-awareness, clarity, creativity, reduce stress and negative emotions, restore focus and shift perspective. I am excited to share that I have studied several breathwork patterns, including pranayama and Clarity Breathwork, and love connecting your with your breath as a tool to help calm the nervous system. I also offer sound bowl healing which is often incorporated into my Reiki sessions. Crystal Bowl healing uses sound to attune to our human chemistry. As vibrational beings, sound frequencies and vibrations connect and ground our energy. The sounds and vibrations emanating from the crystal singing bowls support a calming and tranquil effect on the body, supporting your relaxation. All of my offerings are influenced by my own journey and the world around me - ancient culture and traditions, Goddess energy, nature, the moon, and the earth at her feet. I find my inspiration in everyday life. I utilize stones and crystals in my Reiki practice wherever possible to combine these healing modalities. I am excited to sit with you and empower you to open to your own wisdom and gifts. To learn more about me message me here or on Instagram .healing

🔎 Witnessing Today🔍

What is your system witnessing today?

No fixing necessary, just drop what you notice 👇

If I’ve been a little quieter here lately, it’s because life has pulled me entirely into presence, learning, and creation mode. 🤍

Right now, my days are a full, beautiful juggle: daily intensive physio to heal my hip, slowly chipping away at creating adapted sequences that honor my current physical restrictions, chill time with my husband, and settling my kiddos back into school as fall routines and activities kick into gear.

In the middle of all of this, I have been reflecting deeply on how grateful I am for the privilege of coaching, whether it's girls soccer, women's health or coaching my kiddos through a challenging moment.

I am currently pursuing my first advanced ⚽ coaching diploma with Sask Soccer and Canada Soccer, and this training is about so much more than the game of soccer itself. It’s about transformational coaching, leadership, and women’s empowerment. Being part of Saskatchewan's very first all-female cohort for this advanced diploma has been nothing short of inspiring. I have the privilege of learning alongside women who are actively shaping what intentional, compassionate leadership looks like on and off the field.

With so much on the go, it’s easy to feel squeezed for time or wonder about doing "enough."

This reel is as much a gentle reminder to myself as it is to anyone else feeling the weight of a full season: each step counts. 👣

Even when time is tight. Even when the progress feels slow. Even when the steps feel incredibly small. Forward momentum doesn’t require massive leaps, it just requires showing up with presence for the small step right in front of you.

What is one small step you are taking for yourself today? 👇

It's Wednesday, you're mid-way through the week before school starts and maybe you're feeling a bit overwhelmed? Read 👇

When your brain spins with a million thoughts, to-do lists, and background noise, trying to think your way into calm usually makes the scatter worse. 🌀

Enter one of my absolute favorite, high-impact tools: The Brain Dump.

It takes just 5-10 minutes, requires zero fancy equipment, and instantly grounds a busy, overwhelmed mind.

📝How to do it:

📍Grab a pen and paper and find a quiet spot. Bonus: light a candle or turn on calming music if you feel called! 🕯️

📍Close your eyes, take one slow, deep breath, and relax your shoulders.

📍Start writing anything and everything in your mind. No filtering, no neat handwriting, no judgment.

It can be fragmented words, full sentences, quick lists, or even scribbles and drawings. e.g., Work is crazy, feeling so overwhelmed, kids are loud, lavender, need to buy tea, mind spinning, tired, just breathe.

📍Dump it all out until your timer goes off or your paper is full.

🧠 Why it works so fast:

💡Neuroscience (Cognitive Offloading): Holding multiple scattered thoughts taxes your working memory. Physically writing them on paper frees up mental bandwidth and reduces amygdala reactivity, instantly signaling safety to your nervous system.

🌱Ayurveda: An overactive, racing mind is classic excess Vata, air & space element. The tactile act of holding a pen and grounding your thoughts onto paper pulls that chaotic energy down from your head and anchors it back into the earth element.

☯️TCM: In Chinese Medicine, a swirling brain causes Qi life-force to stagnate in the head, leading to tension and exhaustion. Expressing those thoughts unblocks that flow, giving your mind a gentle, healthy release valve.

By giving your thoughts a physical voice on paper, you allow the scatter to leave your body instead of spinning endless circles inside it.

Have you ever tried a brain dump when you're overwhelmed? Save this post for the next time your mind needs a quick reset! 🤍

Today marks the Lion’s Gate Portal—an incredible annual alignment of solar and cosmic energy. Drawing inspiration from Jill Wintersteen, it’s a time of elevated consciousness and an energetically powerful moment to manifest, set bold intentions, and claim what you are ready to call into your life. 🌟

I had planned to join an online ritual to open this cosmic doorway, but when the time came, I couldn't find the email with the link! 🤦🏼‍♀️

In the past, my knee-jerk reaction might have been to get frustrated, stress out, or force an outcome that wasn't flowing. But true mind-body resilience isn't about everything going according to plan—it’s about how smoothly you adapt when it doesn't.

Instead of pushing, I chose to surrender and pivot:

✨🧠Energetic Mind: I began my morning with a beautiful Jill Wintersteen ritual to consciously release what no longer serves me and align my mind with what I am calling in.

🪷🧘🏼‍♀️Embodied Movement: I moved through my GuanJing Method ® | Embodied Spiraling Movement 🌀 sequence, letting the spiraling motions clear any lingering tension and ground that powerful portal energy into my physical body.

🌱🍲Personalized Nutrition: I nourished myself with a grounding, comforting bowl of oats with raisins, h**p seeds, and sesame seeds in warm almond milk to build stability and fuel my vitality. 🥣

Now, I'm sitting down to enjoy a cup of green tea and read, feeling deeply refreshed, energized, and excited for all the manifestations coming into fruition.

Sometimes the universe shifts your plans just to remind you that you already hold the tools, the space, and the magic within yourself.✨💕

Happy Lion's Gate Portal! 🦁✨ What intentions are you releasing and calling in today? Let me know below! 👇

Have you ever noticed what happens to your breath when emotions like fear, anger, stress, or grief arise? This is something I've been observing in myself, especially when pain rises and the mental battle ensues.

Without even realizing it, most of us instinctively hold our breath. We freeze. We lock our diaphragm, grip tightly through the ribs, and attempt to intellectualize or force our way through the emotional surge.

When we hold our breath, we trap that emotional energy directly in our body's tissues.

Instead, the simple art of tapping in, becoming aware of your breath, and actively taking slow, deep conscious breaths is an absolute game-changer. It shifts you from feeling overwhelmed by your emotions to empowering yourself to actually process them.

🌬️ The Ayurvedic Perspective:

In Ayurveda, the breath is driven by Prana Vata, the vital life-force energy that governs the mind, sensory perception, and the nervous system. When emotions hit, Vata becomes disturbed, scattering our mental clarity. Taking slow, deep belly breaths grounds Prana Vata, immediately signaling safety to the nervous system and preserving our vital energy (Ojas).

🌀 The TCM Perspective:

In Traditional Chinese Medicine, different emotions are directly linked to specific organs ~ the Lungs govern Qi, our life-force energy and the rhythm of the entire body. Holding your breath causes Qi to stagnate, trapping feelings in the chest and abdomen. Slow, continuous breathing keeps the Qi moving smoothly, allowing emotions to wash through you like a wave rather than staying stuck in your body.

You don't need a complex 30-minute routine to reset your state. The moment you feel an emotional wave rising pause and get curious:

✨Notice: Are you gripping or holding your breath?

🪷Soften: Unclench your belly and shoulders.

🧘🏼‍♀️Flow : Take 3 slow, deep, intentional breaths into your belly.

I'll share more of these lived insights and practical somatic tools with you, and you'll see these same tools in my wellness framework as it continues to evolve.

Give your body permission to feel, flow, and release. You're always just one conscious breath

My emotions have felt like a constant pendulum swing over the past few days.

I was able to get into the second specialist and I have a path forward. It won't be easy and will require longer term efforts but it's a path forward all the same. I was also able to

I've been doing a lot of reading about pain, chronic pain and mental resilience. Having a physical path forward is great but I've found the mental battle to be a real challenge.

The resilience I've built is definitely a solid foundation and I'm grateful for it. But I won't pretend that everything is great. It's better. Finding a way to avoid the spin 🌪️ and spiral of what's ahead feels hard on a good day; it feels like banging my head against a wall on a bad day. Feeling like life is slipping by while I'm stuck on the sidelines.

In the past I've felt like I can't be honest on this medium (social media) simply because I exist in the wellness space. It felt like with all my training that I should be a perfect role model who has it all together. This experience has unraveled all those notions and, in case you haven't noticed, I've been showing up authentically in my healing journey.

This means I don't have it all together. My mind spins and spirals just like anyone else. And pain in a mother*&-+$ # who seemingly has it's own ideas 🫠

This morning I moved through the ✨🌀GuanJing sequence 🌀✨I created for this exact time in my life. The wind blowing my hair and the sun warm on my face. Gentle somatic movement, breathe in and out, emotions release their hold. Calm in the Chaos 🧘🏼‍♀️🫨

Resilience isn't built in a single moment. It's built with consistency. Showing up for yourself. Sitting with all the emotions. Support from family and friends. Compassion. Empathy. Love. 🪷

I'll continue sharing what's been working to support building resilience. I hope you'll continue to join in the journey and can learn along with me.

I'm going to win this mental battle. A day at a time. Moment by moment. Breathe by breathe. 💖✨

I'm so excited to share a milestone that is deeply close to my heart: I am officially a Certified Teacher of the GuanJing Method®! 🎓✨

❣️When I started this journey, I had no idea that my training would collide so directly with one of the most intense physical challenges of my life. Navigating a severe hip injury with restricted movement forced this work to move far beyond theory ~ it became my daily lifeline.

Instead of treating my body as something broken to aggressively fix, GuanJing taught me how to slow down, create safety from the inside out, and show up with full, authentic presence. It proved to me that when we meet ourselves with compassion instead of force, we can move through restriction and find true calm within the chaos.💕✨

📚As a part of my certification, I had the privilege of designing a custom sequence specifically for those navigating physical limitations, proving that gentle, spiraling movement and breath are accessible for every single body, no matter where you are starting from.

Through this training which felt transformative in so many ways I was able to weave together what I hold most dear ~ synthesizing GuanJing with Ayurveda, Reiki, and Qigong into one cohesive philosophy of embodied wellness. I designed a

I am beyond grateful to my mentor and teacher, Ting GuanJing Method ® | Embodied Spiraling Movement 🌀 Ting Ting Guan for seeing me, guiding me, and reminding me that the heart of this practice is meeting people exactly where they are. 💚

As I look ahead, I'm so excited to bring this gift to my local community and beyond; I'll be sure to announce when I bring it to 💚The H e a r t Center💚 so stay tuned. If you're interested in bringing this method into your studio or a fun group activity, please reach out to discuss 🗨️✨

🌀GuanJing will also be foundational to my wellness framework as embodied movement. This transformational method is proof that your body is an intelligent oracle worth listening to.🌀

Thank you all for supporting my healing journey and holding space for this next chapter. The best is yet to come. 🌿✨
