Two weeks ago, our team had the incredible opportunity to invest in what matters most—developing our competency as clinicians.

We spent two intensive days learning from Dr. Steven Hayes, the founder of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), deepening our understanding of psychological flexibility, values-based living, mindfulness, and evidence-based approaches to supporting meaningful change.

As a team, we believe that great care starts with a commitment to lifelong learning. This experience challenged us to grow professionally, strengthen our clinical skills, and continue providing high-quality support to the individuals, couples, families, and communities we serve.

One of my biggest takeaways: mental wellness isn’t about eliminating pain—it’s about learning how to carry it while continuing to move toward what matters most.

Grateful for the opportunity to learn from one of the most influential voices in modern psychotherapy alongside this amazing team.

Spent the day at a golf fundraiser with my wife, Kelly-Anne. ⛳❤️

One of the foundations of Gottman’s Sound Relationship House is building fondness and admiration. It’s easy to get caught up in the demands of life, but strong relationships require us to continually notice, appreciate, and value one another.

After 23 years together, I’m still grateful for time like today—sharing experiences, creating memories, and being reminded that healthy relationships aren’t built once; they’re built every day through intentional appreciation and connection.

Yesterday was a great day spent with the members of Gabriel Dumont Local #11 – Saskatoon and Area.

Kelly-Anne and I had the opportunity to facilitate Mental Health First Aid Essentials and Naloxone Training with a fantastic group of people who are committed to supporting one another and strengthening their community. These conversations are always meaningful, and it’s encouraging to see so many people willing to invest their time in learning skills that can make a real
difference in someone’s life.

It is always an honour to partner with organizations and communities that are working to create safer, healthier, and more connected spaces for our people.

I had the honour of being part of the SIEC event today and sharing a bit about my career journey.

One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned is that our paths are rarely linear. There will be twists, turns, setbacks, and unexpected opportunities along the way.

It’s not just about the destination — it’s about the people we meet, the relationships we build, and the skills we gain through the journey.

Thank you to SIEC for the opportunity to connect with such an amazing group of students today.

At Elevate, one of our values is creating space for growth, space to be challenged, supported, and encouraged as we walk alongside one another and the people we serve.

This week, we took intentional time to give back to ourselves and our team. In the work we do, caring for others is central, but so is caring for the people who show up every day to provide that care.

Growth happens when we pause, reflect, connect, and invest in one another. We are grateful for a team that continues to learn together, challenge each other with kindness, and build a workplace rooted in support, accountability, and wellness.
