Most people believe the fix for back pain is “more stretches.”

The truth? By continuously stretching an already irritated muscle or constantly trying to "crack" your own spine for temporary relief, you might actually be driving the underlying problem deeper and making your symptoms worse.

If you’ve been stuck in this exact loop for months, yet your back is still hurting, stiffness keeps returning, and you are tired of watching your fitness and training progress stall out... it is time to change the game plan.

True, lasting relief does not come from chasing the pain or applying temporary Band-Aids.

It comes from uncovering exactly why those muscles are locking up in the first place.

Often, a tight lower back is just overcompensating for lazy glutes, stiff hips, or a lack of core stability.

Our approach focuses entirely on diagnosing the true root cause of your pain so you can build real, long-term resilience—instead of just managing the symptoms week after week.

Deadlifts aren’t the problem.

If you’ve been avoiding deadlifts because you’re worried they’ll wreck your back, let’s reframe how you look at the movement. The truth is, you’re already deadlifting multiple times a day without realizing it.

Heaving a heavy laundry basket off the floor? That’s a deadlift.

Hoisting a suitcase into the trunk? That’s a deadlift.

Picking up your child or a heavy box of groceries? Also a deadlift.

The movement itself isn't inherently dangerous.

The real issue is that most people have never been taught how to distribute the weight properly.

When you bend down without engaging your hips, your lower back is forced to do 100% of the heavy lifting. Over time, that micro-trauma builds up, leaving you feeling tight, sore, or completely locked up.

But when you learn how to effectively hinge and shift that workload into your hips and glutes, everything changes.Your spine stops taking the hit, your movement feels instantly more powerful, and those everyday tasks suddenly become effortless again.

You don’t need to fear the lift—you just need the right strategy.

The version of you 20 years from now is being shaped by the choices you make today.

It is easy to focus on the big moments—the personal record you hit or the clean eating streak you are on.

But the real transformation does not happen in the extremes. It happens in the quiet consistency of the "in-between" days.

Your future health is not built on a single perfect workout or one missed meal. It is built on the cumulative effect of the small, repetitive actions you choose when life feels chaotic.

It is the consistency of the movement you prioritize, the sleep you protect, and the strength you intentionally cultivate every single week.

Aging is not just a number. It is a question of physical capability. It is about ensuring that as the years pass, your body remains a tool that enables your lifestyle rather than a restriction that limits it.

We want you to be able to travel, stay active, keep up with those who matter most, and maintain your independence for as long as possible.

The body you want to live in tomorrow is being constructed by the habits you commit to today.

If your knee clicks or hurts every time you bend or straighten it… it might not be something to ignore.

That deep, stubborn ache or constant clicking often points right to the meniscus. Think of your meniscus as the ultimate built-in shock absorber.

It is a small cushion inside the joint meant to distribute force and keep your knee gliding smoothly.

But when it gets overloaded and irritated, everyday movements like twisting, walking, or just standing up from a chair can start to feel like a massive chore.

The good news is that most meniscus irritation responds well to conservative, step-by-step rehab. We regularly help patients get back to activities like CrossFit and pickleball by following a clear, progressive roadmap:

Phase 1: Restoring local control and tracking stability right around the knee joint.

Phase 2: Building up hamstring and quad strength to properly support and deload the joint.

Phase 3: Gradually loading the knee into deeper ranges so it is resilient enough to handle real-world demands.

But here is the missing piece most people overlook: you can baby the knee or treat the symptoms all day long, but if you don't uncover why that tissue got angry in the first place, the cycle will repeat.

Often, the knee is just the victim of what is happening above or below it. It could be stiff hips forcing the knee to twist, restricted ankles changing how your foot hits the ground, or an issue with how your body distributes load as a whole.

We don't just chase the pain; we look at the entire kinetic chain to find the actual root cause.

Comment “SCIATICA” and we’ll send you our free guide.

If you’re tired of your sciatica flaring up the moment you try to train or get busy, the issue might be where you are looking for answers.

When you feel pain down your leg, it makes sense to stretch or massage the leg. But the hard truth is that the leg is usually just the victim. The real culprit is almost always your lower back.

Getting rid of the immediate pain is only step one. If you don't address why the nerve got angry in the first place—whether it’s poor hip mobility or your lower back taking on too much load during training—the cycle will just repeat.

In our office, we look at the whole picture. We stop chasing the symptom so you can fix the breakdown for good.

At E3 Chiropractic + Wellness, we look at your body as a complete system to identify where those hidden mechanical breakdowns are happening.

We help you find the root cause so you can build true physical capacity, break the pain cycle, and get back to your routine without restriction.

The root cause was never your “tight” muscles…

(It wasn’t the “weak” ones either.)

Because if stretching or strengthening actually worked long-term, you wouldn’t still be dealing with chronic aches. You wouldn't be stuck in that frustrating loop of doing the same exercises over and over, just to end up right back where you started.

Think about it: if stretching a tight muscle or strengthening a weak one actually fixed the breakdown, you would already be fully recovered. Instead, you are caught in a cycle of temporary relief followed by the exact same tightness or ache the next time you try to train or get busy.

The reality is that your body functions as an interconnected system. A "tight" or "weak" muscle is almost always a secondary symptom—a protective reaction because a joint somewhere else isn't moving properly or is forcing another area to overwork.

Until you assess and change the global movement mechanics, the symptom will keep coming back.

If you want long-term solutions that actually address the root cause of your problem, DM us ROOT!

FYI: Your chiro appointment should probably last longer than 90 seconds 👀

Maybe this feels familiar…

You walk into your appointment. Get shown into a room. Lay face down. Wait.
A quick check in.
A couple of adjustments.
Done.

Same treatment as last time.
And the time before that.
But this time something was different.
Your pain wasn’t the same.
It was getting worse.

Maybe now it’s even travelling into your leg.

Except… nobody asked.

You never had the chance to explain what changed.
You left without understanding what was causing your pain.
And without a plan for why it keeps coming back.

Before you know it, your appointment is over.

You check your phone…

Less than 5 minutes in the clinic.

Less than 2 minutes with your clinician.

This is a story we hear all the time.

For some people, quick adjustments are exactly what they need.
But the people who come to us are usually looking for something more.

More listening.

More answers.

More understanding.

Because if your pain is changing, your care should too.

If you want to understand WHY your pain is there and what it actually takes to stop it coming back, we’d love to help.

You don’t trust your back to get you through a full WOD anymore… and that’s not normal

You feel it before you even start
“Is this going to tighten up today?”
“Am I going to have to stop early again?”
So you adjust

You skip certain lifts
You hold back more than you want to
You never really push like you used to

And that’s the frustrating part
Because it’s not just about pain

It’s about not feeling confident in your body anymore
Like you’re always one movement away from it flaring up

That’s not something you should have to work around forever

If this sounds familiar, DM BACK

05/29/2026

Somehow that’s become normal for a lot of people.

Deadlift.
Stretch your back.

Squat.
Stretch your back.

Finish a set.
Walk around trying to loosen it up before the next one.

And at some point you stop asking:

“Why does this keep happening?”

Because you get so used to managing it.

That’s usually the frustrating part.

Not just the tightness itself.

The fact that you can’t just train without constantly thinking about your back anymore.

So you warm up longer.
Modify workouts.
Avoid certain movements.

And little by little…
you stop trusting your body the way you used to.

That’s not something you should just have to work around forever.

05/28/2026

You notice every little feeling now.
How tight it feels.

Whether it’s starting to flare up.
How much longer before it shows up again.

So instead of actually enjoying the run…
part of you is just waiting for your back to tighten up.

That’s what wears people down over time.
Not just the discomfort itself.

The fact that something that used to feel freeing now feels stressful.
So you stretch more.
Warm up longer.
Try to manage it better.

But when the same pattern keeps showing up every run…
there’s usually a reason for that.
And most of the time, it’s bigger than just “tight muscles.”
