💙 Guardian Angel Pin Recipient – Dillon Jesso 💙

The Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital Foundation is proud to congratulate Dillon Jesso, Acute Care Social Worker, on receiving a Guardian Angel Pin!

The Guardian Angel Pin Program recognizes individuals who make an exceptional contribution to healthcare in our region.

Dillon was nominated for the outstanding support and compassion he provides to his patients. He goes above and beyond to ensure they receive the assistance they need for a successful recovery and helps them navigate their transition home. His care, compassion, and dedication make a meaningful difference in the healthcare journey of his patients.

💙 The Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital Foundation is proud to congratulate Sarah Downey of Public Health Stephenville, Bay St. George Family Care Team and Community Services, on receiving a Guardian Angel Pin.

The Guardian Angel Pin Program recognizes individuals who make an exceptional contribution to healthcare in our region.

This nominator shared that Sarah cared for her and her child after he was born. Sarah answered every call and every question for this first-time mother. At every appointment, Sarah ensured that the new mom and infant had their needs met (or followed up). Sarah made them feel as if they were her only patients. They can't thank Sarah enough for all that she has done for them over the last 18 months.

Thank you, Sarah, for the exceptional care you provide to families in our community. Congratulations on this well-deserved recognition!

💙🍪 $13,500 Raised Through the Tim Hortons Smile Cookie Campaign! 🍪💙

The Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital Foundation is thrilled to announce that, thanks to the incredible generosity of our community, this year's Tim Hortons Smile Cookie Campaign raised $13,500 in support of local healthcare!

We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to Corey Rice, the dedicated staff at both Tim Hortons locations, and the wonderful people of Bay St. George. Your generosity and support continue to make a lasting difference in our community.

The funds raised through this year's Smile Cookie Campaign will go toward the purchase of cuddle beds for the Palliative Care Unit at Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital, helping patients spend precious time with their loved ones in greater comfort.

The photo below was taken in the Physiotherapy Department in front of a SCIFIT Total Body Recumbent Stepper with Wheelchair Ramp, one of the many pieces of equipment purchased by the Foundation through funds raised by our generous donors and community supporters. The Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital Foundation was proud to present Guardian Angel Pins to Karen Sheppard (left) and Alora White, NP (right), of the St. George’s Medical Clinic on Monday, May 4th.

The Guardian Angel Pin Program recognizes individuals who make an exceptional contribution to healthcare in our region. This nomination was made even more special as it came from a wonderful group within our community — the St. George Thursday Sewing Group.

Members of the group shared their appreciation for Karen and Alora, thanking them for always “going above and beyond.” Their professionalism, compassion, and dedication to patient care have made a meaningful impact on so many within the clinic and community.

Congratulations and thank you, Karen and Alora, for the incredible care and kindness you provide every day. 💙

La Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital Foundation était fière de remettre des épinglettes « Guardian Angel » à Karen Sheppard (gauche) et à Alora White, IP (droite), de la clinique médicale de St. George’s, le lundi 4 mai.

Le programme « Guardian Angel Pin » reconnaît les personnes qui apportent une contribution exceptionnelle aux soins de santé dans notre région. Cette nomination est d’autant plus spéciale puisqu’elle provient d’un merveilleux groupe de notre communauté — le groupe de couture du jeudi de St. George.
