For many, Thanksgiving and other holidays can be a time for rest, reflection, and spending time with loved ones. For others, they can bring added responsibilities and stress that leave us feeling drained.

Those who spend the holidays alone or are grieving the loss of loved ones may find this time of year particularly difficult.

While holidays can be meaningful occasions to look forward to, they can also be a good reminder of the importance of taking time for ourselves and engaging in self-care.

For me, self-care might look like exercise, socializing, walking my dog, or going out dancing. We all have different ways of recharging our batteries, and sometimes it's worth taking a moment to think about what helps us feel like ourselves again.
