Navigating fertility funding as a same-sex couple comes with its own set of questions. We want to make sure you have the full picture.

One thing that often surprises people: through the Ontario Fertility Program (OFP), both partners are covered as part of the same cycle. The egg retrieval and the embryo transfer each fall under their own role, and as long as both of you have a valid OHIP card, you're both included.

What the funding doesn't cover is donor s***m, medications, embryo storage, and genetic testing. Those costs are out of pocket, and we'll make sure you know what to expect before anything begins.

Last month, we gathered with for an intimate conversation on fertility, family planning, and the power of integrated care 🌱

We heard from a range of healthcare practitioners across fertility medicine, naturopathy, pelvic health, and mental wellness about how collaborative, multidisciplinary support can help people feel more informed, supported, and empowered throughout their journey.

What felt especially meaningful was the honesty in the room around the emotional and often complex realities of fertility and family building.

Whether someone is simply curious about their fertility health, beginning to think about family planning, or actively in treatment, our teams are here to help support people in navigating their options, accessing the right care, and feeling more empowered throughout the process to help achieve the best possible outcomes.
