A Day Under the Sea! 🪼🐠🦈

We’re taking a look back at one of our favourite outings of the summer — a trip to Ripley's Aquarium of Canada!

Our residents, family members and staff enjoyed an unforgettable day exploring the aquarium, discovering the incredibly sea life and making memories that’ll last forever.

There’s something special about getting into the community and experiencing it altogether. Here’s to the next adventure!

This morning, AdvantAge Ontario staff visited Humber Meadows LTCH in for a photo shoot. It was wonderful to see so many residents, staff, family members, and more participate. Thank you to Ashley Guay and the entire Humber Meadows team for their warm reception and hard work behind the scenes to bring this all together.

Yesterday, Humber Meadows was filled with laughter, smiles and a little bit of star power! 📸✨

Our home had the incredible opportunity to host a photoshoot for AdvantAge Ontario, bringing together 100+ residents, families and staff members—and even some intergenerational fun! From residents to family members to staff, everyone had their moment in the spotlight as an official model for the day⭐

More than just a photoshoot, it was a wonderful opportunity for our community to come together, laugh, connect and create memories that will last long after the cameras stopped clicking.

A huge thank you to AdvantAge Ontario for choosing our home to be featured and for giving our residents, families and team the chance to shine! We can’t wait to see the final photos!

Camp Humber Meadows is BACK & officially OPEN! 🏕️💚

We’ve kicked off August by transforming Humber Meadows into our very own summer camp again! From outdoor adventures to camp-inspired activities, there’s plenty of fun in store all month long.

The fun is just getting started with an outdoor sing-along, camp-inspired decorations, new names for every space and plenty of summer spirit!

What a spectacular Carnival Week at Humber Meadows! ❤️🎪

From colourful decorations that transformed our home, to two exciting days of carnival games and treats, a surprise clown calling Bingo, a festive dress-up sing-along, and so much more, every day was filled with laughter, connection, and unforgettable memories.

A huge thank you to our incredible Recreation Team for bringing the magic of the carnival to Humber Meadows. Your creativity, dedication, and passion continue to create meaningful moments that make our home a place filled with joy, fun, and belonging. 🎡🎠✨

We spent lunch clowning around last week thanks to a very special visitor for Carnival/Circus Week! 🤡

Sunshine, smiles, and a good stretch—what more could you ask for?

Yesterday, we took our stretch session outdoors to soak up the beautiful weather, breathe in the fresh air, and enjoy some movement under the sunshine. There were plenty of laughs, happy conversations, and feel-good moments as everyone stretched, smiled, and embraced the day together.

Here’s to making the most of sunny days, staying active, and creating joyful memories—one stretch at a time! ☀️

We were honoured to welcome international visitors from Ghana and Taiwan to Humber Meadows to learn about our 3-year RNAO Best Practice Spotlight Organization (BPSO) journey and how best practice guidelines are implemented in long-term care.

As we toured the home, our guests saw the many white BPSO Champion polos throughout the building — a strong and visible representation of our incredible champions and the interdisciplinary teamwork that has helped bring evidence-based practice to life. The tour highlighted the many initiatives and people-centred changes that have helped make our home truly feel like home.

What we were most proud to showcase was the meaningful involvement of residents and families in shaping this journey, our strong culture of collaboration across all departments, and our passion for disseminating and advocating for BPSO within the long-term care sector.
