Our residents had a sweet afternoon sampling a classic favorite: Peach Melba. But did you know this iconic dessert has a legendary origin story?

> Created in 1892 by famed French chef Auguste Escoffier at the Savoy Hotel in London.
> Designed for Australian opera singer Dame Nellie Melba after he saw her perform in Wagner's Lohengrin.
> Escoffier originally served poached peaches over vanilla ice cream in a swan-shaped ice sculpture topped with spun sugar! (The raspberry purée was added later).

Nothing beats fresh seasonal peaches combined with a little culinary history! 🍨

By opening up and sharing personal stories, passions, and background, they created a welcoming space that inspired our residents to swap their own favorite memories and life experiences in return. 🤝🗣️

A wave of creativity swept through art class as paintbrush after paintbrush brought majestic whale tails rising out of the ocean to life! 🐋🌊

From deep sea blues to shimmering water sprays, each artist brought their own unique touch and colour blend to the canvas. Watching individual styles shine through on the exact same scene is always half the fun!
