High-functioning depression is one of the most invisible forms of the condition. From the outside, everything looks managed, the job, the social obligations, the basic maintenance of a life. From the inside, it feels hollow. Like going through the motions of living without actually feeling part of it.
The exhaustion is constant, but rest doesn't fix it. Things that used to matter have gone quiet. Joy, when it comes, feels more like relief than pleasure, and it doesn't stay long.
If this sounds familiar, it's worth knowing: managing your responsibilities is not the same as being okay. You don't have to be visibly struggling to deserve support. We're here for the people who look fine on the outside and feel anything but. Book at Vernon Counselling at www.vernoncounselling.net
