Progress in therapy rarely looks the way people expect it to. It doesn't usually arrive as a breakthrough moment. It shows up quietly, in the moment you stop apologising for crying, in the morning you wake up and realise the dread isn't quite as heavy, in the conversation you had with yourself that would have gone very differently six months ago. 💙
Sometimes healing looks like cancelling plans because you finally know your limits. Sometimes it looks like asking for help when everything in you wants to manage alone. Those aren't failures. That's what the work actually looks like.
If you're in a season that doesn't feel like progress, keep going. It often is.
