We're pretty excited about this one 🚗☀️

On July 11, our parking lot will be transformed into The Golden Mile — a day dedicated to community, connection, and a shared love of classic vehicles.

Whether you're coming for the cars, the music, the vendors, the food, or simply an excuse to spend a summer afternoon with friends and family, there's a place for you here.

At Diamond House, some of our favourite events are the ones that bring people together, and we can't wait to welcome the community for a day full of familiar faces and new connections ⭐️🚙💚

Care looks different in every community 🌟

One of the more unique experiences from this year's nursing placement was the opportunity to spend time at Beardy's & Okemasis Cree Nation, learning about community wellness, healthcare, and supports available on reserve.

The more we understand one another's experiences, the stronger care becomes.
We're grateful these future nurses had the opportunity to learn from community members, ask questions, and gain a broader perspective on what health and wellness can look like across Saskatchewan 🌾🏥

Team CarePal has been keeping our team busy lately ✨📱🌿

Over the past few weeks, Kalley and Cindy have been travelling between Golden Health Care homes helping activities teams, supporting family onboarding, and bringing more connection and communication into everyday life within our care communities through Team CarePal!

They’ve also had opportunities to connect with other care communities, tour different spaces, exchange ideas, and continue learning alongside others who are passionate about improving the experience of residents and families in care.

A big thank you to these ladies for always being willing to learn and listen! And to the home coordinators and teams across all of the homes we’ve visited for being so welcoming and supportive throughout it all — it’s been so exciting watching these connections continue to grow! 💚

A lot of care, time, and talent went into preparing for Powwow season this year 🧵🌾✨

With Marlene’s help, residents spent time sewing ribbon skirts, ribbon aprons, and ribbon scarves ahead of the Powwow. It was such a meaningful project to work on together, and so special seeing each piece slowly come together along the way.

A big thank you to Marlene for always sharing her time, skills, and creativity with our residents 💛

One of our favourite things this winter and spring was getting creative alongside the students from Diamond Heritage Academy 🎨💛

The projects were great, but it was the time spent together that made their visits so memorable. Week after week, residents and students got to know one another around the craft tables, sharing stories, laughter, and plenty of conversation along the way.

Before they headed off for summer break, we were able to enjoy one last BBQ lunch together. It was such a nice way to celebrate the connections that had been built over the past few months!

We already miss having them around the house and hope they're enjoying a well-deserved summer ☀️

We were honoured to be invited back again this year 🧡

Opportunities like this don't happen without people who are willing to open their doors, share their culture, and welcome others into the experience. We're incredibly grateful to have been included and to have shared the day alongside our residents, staff, and volunteers.

At Diamond House, some of the most meaningful moments happen beyond the walls of our home. Thank you for having us — we're already looking forward to next year 🫶

Our nursing students will be wrapping up their placement with us soon, and the house definitely won’t feel the same without them 💛

Over the past few weeks, they’ve brought so much kindness, curiosity, compassion, and positive energy into Diamond House. From meaningful conversations with residents to jumping into everyday moments around the house, it’s been so special having them learn alongside our team.
We’re so grateful for the care they’ve shown our residents and can’t wait to see where their nursing journeys take them next ✨

As they wrap up their placement, residents, families, and staff are invited to join us on June 10th at 1:00pm in the Great Room for a special presentation highlighting the project they've been working on throughout their time at Diamond House. We hope you'll join us in celebrating all of their hard work! 📚🌿💚

The courtyards start looking a little happier this time of year 🌷☀️🪴

Residents, activities, and our nursing students spent the morning out in the fresh air getting the courtyards ready for summer — planting flowers, potting plants, tidying the gardens, and bringing a little more life and colour back into the outdoor spaces around the home.

One of the best parts of spring around Diamond House is seeing everyone slowly make their way back outside again! 💚

A little dirt under the nails and paint on the tables lately 🪴🎨🌱

Pot painting and seed planting always seem to bring a little extra excitement around the house this time of year. There’s something so nice about getting creative, planting something new, and watching it slowly grow over the summer together.

We can’t wait to see how everything turns out ☀️

June is looking pretty good around here 🍋🌿⛱️

Patio hangs, summer socials, music, outings, Men’s Club, special events, sweet treats, and lots happening around Diamond House this month!

Our June calendars are officially out, and we’re ready for a month full of sunshine, connection, and good company ✨
