Regular eye exams are an important part of your child’s overall health - helping detect vision issues early, so they can thrive at school, sports, and everyday life!

In Ontario, OHIP covers comprehensive eye exams every 12 months for children under 20 🙌🏼

Plus, children in kindergarten may qualify for the Eye See Eye Learn program, which provides kids with a free pair of glasses, if needed! 🕶️

In our latest blog, Dr. Patti Ellison shares a simple truth: healthy vision starts with healthy blood vessels 👀🫀

So how can you protect your eye health? It comes down to the “Big 5”:
✔️ Don’t smoke
✔️ Stay active
✔️ Eat more greens & high-fiber foods
✔️ Keep blood pressure controlled
✔️ Keep blood sugar controlled

It is the small, consistent habits that add up over time. A daily walk, a few extra veggies, and taking care of your overall health can go a long way toward protecting your vision 💚

✨ Remember: progress over perfection. Be kind to yourself, keep moving, and don’t give up!

Cozy by the fire? 🔥 Don’t forget your eyes need love too 👀❄️ When the thermostat goes up, the moisture goes down — which can leave your eyes feeling dry and irritated.

✨ Keep your eyes comfy this winter:
- Use eye drops or ointments regularly
- Take breaks from direct heat
- Run a humidifier at home or in your bedroom

Keep the cozy vibes without the dry eyes 💙
