✂️🎉 A special day for peopleCare Delhi LTC!

Today, residents, staff, partners, and local leaders gathered to officially celebrate the opening of our Delhi long-term care home.

One of the most meaningful parts of the day was celebrating alongside the residents who now call our home their own. Many have spent decades helping build the Norfolk County community we know today, as business owners, community leaders, neighbours, and friends.

Among those joining us for the ribbon cutting was Andy, a longtime Norfolk County resident and local business owner whose contributions have helped shape the community.

Thank you to Minister Natalia Kusendova-Bashta and her Parliamentary Assistant Dawn Gallagher Murphy. Thank you Haldimand-Norfolk MPP Bobbi-Ann Brady, Deputy Mayor Kim Huffman - Ward 7 Councillor, Ward 3 Councillor Michael Columbus, our Delhi Team and all those who helped bring this vision to life.

✨ Who says prom only happens once? This round was one to remember at A.R. Goudie LTC home!

Residents dressed to impress, shared plenty of smiles, and danced the night away during this year's prom celebration. Swipe to see a few snapshots from this incredible evening.

Exciting news for seniors and families in Wasaga Beach! ⛱️

Thanks to the go-ahead from the Ontario Ministry of Long-Term Care, peopleCare is going to build a new 288-bed LTC home, starting later this year, and welcoming our first residents in 2028.

Our new home will help local seniors access care close to home, while staying connected to family, friends and the town they love. Designed with residents in mind, the home will include modern living spaces, specialized dementia care services, welcoming gathering areas, and thoughtfully designed indoor and outdoor amenities that support comfort, connection and quality of life.

The excitement is already being felt among Wasaga locals Pete and Rita, who say this new home is a "phenomenal thing for a town like Wasaga Beach."

peopleCare also plans to create a broader senior living community on the property over time, which will include other seniors housing and services that will support healthy aging in place.

Thank you to the Ontario government, MPP Brian Saunderson, the Town of Wasaga Beach, Mayor Brian Smith, Council and Town staff for their partnership and shared commitment to supporting seniors and families in this growing community.
