Join us for a creative morning with Artbeat Studio as we make signs for the upcoming International Overdose Awareness Day rally.

Whether you have a message to share or simply want to support the community, everyone is welcome. No artistic experience is needed—all supplies will be provided.

International Overdose Awareness Day Winnipeg Rally: Join multiple community partners on Monday, August 31st at the Manitoba Legislative Grounds from 12-1pm.

Listen to advocates speak to the current weight of the toxic drug crisis and its effects. Bring photos of your lost loved ones to be placed on the legislature steps.

(Please be aware that there will be a die-in* demonstration followed by a moment of silence to honor those we have lost. Participation is encouraged, but not mandatory. (*A “die-in,” also referred to as a “lie-in,” is a type of protest where participants mimic being deceased.)

According to our survey, affectionately known as State of the Q***r, about 87% of 2SLGBTQ+ Manitobans say that q***r people have not reached full equality in our province. 67% of the general population agree.
