MB HIV-STBBI Collective Impact Network

MB HIV-STBBI Collective Impact Network CINetwork brings together a diverse array of people from across Manitoba to understand and develop solutions to address HIV-STBBI complex system issues.

Social Innovation Generation:

The MB HIV-STBBI Collective Impact Network is a network of innovators working collaboratively to transform the landscape of HIV-STBBI in Manitoba. Composed of people with lived experience, researchers, health care professionals, policy makers, community-based organizations and Indigenous organizations, we work on understanding systems gaps and barriers and bringing d

iverse stakeholders together to develop innovative community-based culturally responsive solutions. We advance our key goals to increase HIV-STBBI testing, improve linkage to care, decrease the incidence of HIV-STBBI, disrupt stigma and discrimination by tackling complex system-related issues. We align our goals/common agenda with the Federal STBBI Strategy (2019) Accelerating Our Response – Government of Canada Five-Year Action Plan on Sexually Transmitted and Blood-Borne Infections. CIN Stewardship Team:

CINetwork is guided by the CIN Stewardship Team, which oversees the network’s direction, activities, and sustainability. It also monitors the broader level CINetwork activities, including planning events, evaluating the CINetwork, and making sense of findings from the CINetwork’s activities to connect with policymakers and facilitate policy changes in Manitoba. The team consists of people with lived experience, researchers, community-based organization reps, health authority reps, policymakers, Indigenous organization reps, and other interested parties.

Rainbow Resource Centre’s HIV Long Term Survivors Group is a space for 2SLGBTQ+ folks who lived through the HIV/AIDS crisis of the 1980s and 1990s — including survivors, caregivers, loved ones, and those impacted by that era who want to connect and talk about their experiences.

The group meets on the 3rd Saturday of each month from 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM. Registration is not required. 🕯️

Thank you to Rainbow Resource Centre and the Over the Rainbow program for creating and holding this important space for community, remembrance, and support.
