🇮🇹🤝🇪🇹 TEFF – Training Ethiopian Future Farmers-Chefs: Bringing Culinary Traditions Together
On 17 October, the first phase of TEFF – Training Ethiopian Future Farmers-Chefs concluded in Addis Ababa with a final cooking showcase dedicated to sharing knowledge and putting new skills into practice.
Following several days of training, young Ethiopian participants joined chefs from Campagna Amica and Terranostra to apply what they had learned, bringing Italian culinary techniques, Mediterranean diet principles, and Ethiopian ingredients and traditions together.
Beyond cooking, the programme created an opportunity to exchange knowledge, skills, and cultural perspectives, equipping young participants with new tools to turn learning into future opportunities.
📌 The initiative was developed in collaboration with the World Farmers Markets Coalition, drawing on its experience in several African countries, including Ghana and Kenya, and now extending to Ethiopia to encourage dialogue between local cultures and traditions through a shared vision for the future.
The initiative is part of the Support to Youth and Women through the Development of Products, Services and Public-Private Partnerships Programme, funded by the Italian Cooperation and implemented by UNIDO, in partnership with the Ministry of Labour and Skills of Ethiopia.
