🧬 Introducing our new Genomics & Molecular Pathology EQA programme!

We're expanding our external quality assessment portfolio with four new EQA schemes designed for laboratories performing molecular oncology testing.

Developed in collaboration with genomics experts, the new programme supports laboratories in assessing the quality of somatic variant detection and interpretation using clinically relevant sample materials.

The first four schemes focus on NGS-based cancer panel testing:
🔹 Pan Cancer
🔹 Breast Cancer
🔹 Colorectal Cancer
🔹 Lung Cancer

The programme will continue to expand with new EQA schemes and pilot rounds, including cfDNA-based testing and NIPT. Register by 15 December 2026!

Greetings from Leuven, Belgium, where we joined the 2026 EQALM Symposium and General Assembly this week! 👋

Celebrating 30 years of the European Organisation for External Quality Assurance Providers in Laboratory Medicine, this year’s symposium brought together 160 participants from across Europe to exchange insights on the latest developments in external quality assurance.

Heidi Berghäll and Jonna Pelanti from our EQA Solutions team presented a scientific poster sharing experiences from Labquality’s first somatic NGS EQA pilot study. 🔬

Jonna also revisited last year’s breakout session discussions in her presentation, "From Mandatory Requirement to Meaningful Quality Improvement", highlighting the valuable feedback and key insights shared by participants.
