Making the Difference’ for close to 100,000 patients every year, the ARCHIE Foundation provides all of the extras that allow an enhanced level of care for local children. We provide key staff posts such as the ARCHIE Specialist Nurse, the ARCHIE Play Leader and the ARCHIE Family Support Worker. We buy life changing medical equipment and fund specialist training to ensure the local healthcare teams can always provide the most up-to-date and high quality care. We buy toys, books and computer games, run art workshops and provide musical concerts in the hospital – often at the bedside of children who are too sick to come to our communal play areas.

Our Inverness Firewalk was an incredible display of bravery, determination and courage, with every single Firewalker taking on the challenge and doing themselves proud.

Together, you've raised an amazing £13,000 including Gift Aid... and the total is still growing!

☕🍂 Tea tastes even better when it helps support local babies and their families. 🍂☕

We're incredibly grateful to Simpsons for supporting The Archie Foundation's Prematuritea campaign throughout November.

For every Autumn Afternoon Tea booked across their three restaurants, in Inverness, Fochabers and Mintlaw £1 will be donated to The Archie Foundation, with funds helping to support babies, children and families cared for by the Highland Neonatal Unit and Children's Services at Raigmore Hospital and in Royal Aberdeen Children's Hospital.

Christmas can look very different for children in hospital, but that doesn't mean it can't be filled with special moments.❤️‍🩹

From a visit by a familiar festive character to a new toy, it's the little things that can make a really difficult day feel a little brighter.

Each year, alongside our NHS colleagues, we do all we can to make these moments possible for children and families. And we couldn't do it without you.

Year after year, your kindness and generosity help us bring a little extra joy and festive magic to children spending Christmas in hospital. And we would love to have your support again this year.🤝

Yesterday, our team and Archie Bear had a fantastic time at Royal Aberdeen Children's Hospital, spreading a little spooky fun and handing out treats to so many lovely children and families, as well as our brilliant NHS teams 👻

A huge part of making the day so special was the generosity of others. We are incredibly grateful to the Caterers Offshore Trade Association (COTA) companies for their fantastic donations, with a special mention to Lily, whose enthusiasm and efforts were the driving force behind their support. We also received a wonderful donation from Miranda Lovie, which helped make the celebrations extra special for children and staff. Thank you all for helping us bring a little more Halloween magic to the hospital!

We loved seeing the fantastic boo bags designed by the pupils at Whitehills School, whose creativity added a lovely personal touch to the day.

Being in hospital can be a difficult time for children and their families, so creating opportunities for fun, laughter and happy memories along the way means so much. We are so glad we could share a little Halloween magic with everyone yesterday!

Almost a century after it was first laid in 1926, a historic foundation stone from the former Royal Aberdeen Hospital for Sick Children has been rediscovered and restored.🏥

Originally laid on 29th October 1926 by Harvey Hall, Chairman of the hospital’s Directors, the stone marked the construction of the Foresterhill hospital, which opened in January 1929. It feels only fitting that it has been restored, as the values that inspired those who built the hospital almost a century ago continue to guide us today.

Thanks to the determination of Professor George G Youngson CBE, Dr Derek King and Mr Chris Driver, with support from NHS Grampian and funding from The Archie Foundation, the stone now takes pride of place outside Royal Aberdeen Children's Hospital. 🩵

For three individuals whose careers have touched countless local lives, preserving this history holds a special meaning. It's a passion they've carried into Healing the Bairns, a book bringing together the people, memories and milestones that have shaped generations of children's healthcare in Aberdeen.

World Prematurity Day: Neonatal Family Support Afternoon 💜

We are inviting all families, past and present, to join us for a special afternoon hosted by the Archie Neonatal Committee in recognition of World Prematurity Day. Whether your journey was recent or many years ago, we would love to see you!

💙🚗A huge thank you to the Fraserburgh Vintage Car Rally Official !🚗💙

This year, the Fraserburgh Vintage Car Rally brought people together for a wonderful atmosphere of stallholders, entertainment, and, of course, lots of cars from all eras. All while raising money for a range of charities, including The Archie Foundation, in support of the Fraserburgh Child Development Team.

It was lovely to welcome the event organiser Lewis to the Fraserburgh hospital to top up our fundraising thermometer and show him the space that will be transformed🏥

Every donation brings us one step closer to making this vision a reality, and we couldn’t do it without the incredible support of our community.

A massive thank you to Lewis and, of course, everyone who attended and supported the event. Your generosity is helping us make a real difference for children and families in Fraserburgh and the surrounding area💙
