Chestnut Tree House is a children's charity providing hospice care and community support for children with life-limiting conditions and their families in East and West Sussex and South East Hampshire. Thanks to support from the local community children and families who know they don’t have long together have the chance to live life to the full and say goodbye in the way that is right for them. On

a visit to the House, kids can be astronauts for the day in the multi-sensory room, discover creepy crawlies on a woodland walk, or form their very own pop group in the music room. It is a place where parents can just be parents, and not carers, and where siblings have people to talk to who understand. As well as care provided at the House, there is a Community Nursing Team who visit families at home, taking children out to explore their local community or simply giving tired families and carers the chance to take a well-earned break. Then, when the time comes, we help families say goodbye, in whatever way feels right for them, at home or in the hospice itself. They offer ongoing bereavement support for the whole family. The generosity of the local community makes this happen. It costs over £5 million every year to provide hospice care for local children, with only 17% of this coming from government funding. You can show your support by fundraising, volunteering, taking part in a challenge event, playing the Chestnut Tree House lottery, or leaving a gift in your will.

It's been a summer to remember at Chestnut Tree House! 🌞

From colour runs and live music to farmyard adventures and days out on the water, it's been a summer full of fun, laughter, and unforgettable moments.

Our children and young people have enjoyed meeting and caring for animals, taking the helm on Wetwheels boat trips, getting creative at Mega Messy Play Day, and so much more. 🎨

A huge thank you to everyone who helped make these special experiences possible, from our generous supporters and sponsors to our incredible staff and volunteers. Your support helps us create magical memories and precious moments for the children, young people, and families we care for. 💛
